I can’t get over the reveal - A RANT

Please don’t read at ALL if you don’t want it spoiled and can’t handle a rant.

So I started The Mentalist 1 month ago, ofc got obsessed and got really into the entire Red John mystery. I wasn’t able to enjoy the normal episodes without any RJ angle after Season 4 - so skipped a lot of episodes that weren’t relevant to the Red John angle and went straight to the juicy parts of Season 6.

The reveal was such a downer. Couldn’t even recall who is this Sheriff. It was so random. Just someone who flew under the radar. All the hype around Red John and NOTHING about the Sheriff’s personality reflected that he is a smart, calculative serial killer who could evade Jane level of detection for multiple years. Eeeeeek is my feeling okay.

The good part is I got the suspense out of the way and finished the series and just when I was feeling bad that I finished the Mentalist I realised I have a bunch of S4 and S5 episodes I never watched so that was some solace.

Anyway I rewatched parts of the episode where Shreiff first makes appearance. The Rock Paper Scissors sequence and again got reminded that this cringy character is Red John. He was just pervy and lousy and gave very idiotic expressions when we was losing the game. How could they make this make the Red John that was always one step ahead of Patrick Jane 😭😭😭😭

I hate getting emotionally attached to fictional characters and series but here I am.

Health buddy group?

Hey folks,
So being 30+ has been a wake up call. I shifted to Mumbai after marriage and one thing led to another, and I gained a lot of weight. WFH, sedentary lifestyle and also casual attitude towards health have all been a contributor. I work in a very challenging field so there is high work stress and definitely a lot of emotional eating.

I have been eating healthy and walking, etc. but I realised I need to make a lifestyle change for the results to show. I was thinking of ways to make it more fun and motivating and was thinking of a health-focused group of local folks! We can work on our individual targets, and keep each other accountable, can do virtual check-ins and also maybe plan meet ups around some kind of group workout like cycling and all. All of this is just a plan ofcourse the challenge would be in execution. I would also prefer some more females for this as they can relate to the hormonal challenges of losing weight as age creeps up!

Work is hectic for all of us so something low key would be more sustainable. Throwing around ideas but would love to hear if anyone has done this before here and how can we make this work.

Open to all ideas - let’s discuss!
