Psychics
Correct me if I'm wrong but of the main psychics that are on Jane's level I feel like the show never proves any of them to be frauds. All we have is Patrick's word that their are no psychics. This is especially true of Kristina Frye.

I’d really want to know more about Jane’s wife.. Probably Jane was a different person before “the event” but he’s Jane.. Do you think his wife was another version of Lisbon? Totally different? If Jane fell in love with her, she must be heck of a woman..
I love them so much, they clearly do have a thing for each other and neither wants to admit it but I can't help but fall for the way their scenes are made, so effortlessly beautiful ❤️
Their banter, the way Lisbon blushes and tries to broach the subject, expresses jealousy like god I love this sm 😭❤️
Pictures from S2 Finale, closing scene.
So this is my first Reddit post I’m new here and Is it just me or does The Mentalist have one of the craziest collections of guest stars? 😂 I’m only on Season 2 Episode 10 and I’ve already spotted Karen Page from Daredevil, Hank from The Thundermans, Sheldon’s dad from young Sheldon plus actors from Modern Family, Every other episode I’m like Wait… I know that face! Who was the most surprising actor or actress you noticed?
Watching the show for the first time and I am really surprised at how well the acting is for every single character. The main person I'm thinking of in regard to this is Beth Flint and her scene where Jane tells her that he is a fake psychic. Her acting as well as many other instances of other actors is really really impressive.
I would have loved to see Jane with his kid with Lisbon. Im so sure that he would be a stay at home dad while Lisbon kicks ass. See them banter more about the kid and who the kid is more of, Jane or Lisbon coz both of them in one kid would be diabolical i think.
This player, coincidentally named Patrick Berg, playing for Norway in the Worldcup currently looks so much like Jane it caught me off guard 😭.
THE MENTALIST IS TRENDING AGAIN! LIKE I FORCED PEOPLE TO WATCH IT AND THEY USED TO BE LIKE, “yeah, will watch aint got no time.” BUT NOW THEY BE LIKE, “EVERY TIME THE NEXT EPISODE BUTTON MAKES ME WANNA WATCH THE WHOLE SERIES”
I FUCKING LOVE IT. I USED TO WATCH REELS WHERE PEOPLE BE LIKE, “The Mentalist edit in this economy?” BUT NOW. SHEESHHH.
COULD IT ALSO BE BECAUSE OF THAT NORWEGIAN PLAYER?
everything aside… i just want the whole world to know this series
I have recently started watching this show and I'm close to finishing the second season so no spoilers please 😁
But what has bothered me, well not bothered technically but more like I find it a little weird is adultery. Every second episode, there is someone who's cheating on someone or having an affair with someone. I mean I get it that these things happen quite often than not but it feels repetitive and at times forced even to have the same adultery angle involved in almost every episode. Either the victim was cheating/having affair or their partner is cheating or having affair with someone and hence is a person of interest. This kind of thing feels repetitive and dampens the mood. What do you guys think? Let me know.
I’m sorry but Lorelei is the most annoying character on this show, it’s the equivalent of Pelannt on Bones
If yes. Why? If no, why?
I personally preferred it to be someone we didn’t know. Someone completely new like this guy. Also this guy had that eerie, twisted, cold blooded look but also a random face you’ll likely see in a supermarket and pass by without any suspicion, to him.
What do you think
Sorry if this has been asked. But I am new to the community. Did Simon Baker actually wear the same pair of shoes the whole run of the show? It certainly looks like it
I wish we could see more of him. So reliable and dependable. Extremely smart and efficient. Values the rules but only if they make sense, will compromise to get the job done. Doesn't care what anyone thinks and trusts his own judgement. Will throw a hard boundary and not cross it no matter what. >!Got addicted and then threw that away immediately as soon as he realised it endangered his partner.!< They picked the best actor for this role too. Can't imagine anyone playing him better. Honestly my favourite character in the show.
Don't get me wrong, I appreciate their individual scenes, I love how technically intellectual Van Pelt is and if push comes to the shove, how useful Rigsby becomes but I feel like their supposed love story wears them down. Jane, Cho and Lisbon are definitely the big 3 in my opinion ( please bear in mind, my opinion might change further in the show because I'm watching the show for the first time and I'm only on season 3 ). I don't hate their storyline but I feel like it's poorly written and probably one of the only bad writing the show ever produced.
I have this completely unnecessary headcanon:
Patrick Jane somehow ends up at a South Asian household and casually says, “I’ll make the tea.”
The grieving family ignores him and let him do his thing.
He measures the water. Uses a tea bag and serves proudly.
Silence!!!
From somewhere deep inside the house, a grandma who wasn’t visible five seconds ago materializes like she’s been summoned by the ancestors.
She eye rolls at Jane and make him follow her in the kitchen.
No words exchanged in the kitchen, just a grumpy old lady huffing puffing, while Jane follows her around.
Cardamom? Crushed by hand.
Ginger? smashed by mortar pestle
Tea leaves? Eyeballed.
Milk? “Enough.”
Sugar? “You’ll know.”
Simmer Time. Complete silence!
Jane watches every movement like it’s the greatest cold reading he’s ever witnessed, trying to decode the pattern.
Twenty minutes later he’s convinced that making proper desi chai is the one skill deduction can’t teach, you have to be spiritually adopted by a South Asian grandma.
I knew a guy, he predicted exactly what I’d pick in a rock paper scissors game. I played MULTIPLE rounds with him to make sure it wasn’t fake. He can guess very weird specific things about people and claims he does it through reading their body language. Can body language REALLY tell you this much in detail?? I want to know more about these types of people, I’m so intrigued.
