Hey everyone, I really need some honest advice.

Here’s my situation:

During my 12th boards in March, I randomly filled out the LPUNEST form after seeing an ad. I honestly did it just for fun and ended up getting selected. Since I was selected, my father paid ₹10,000 to book my admission. A few weeks later, they asked us to pay another ₹10,000 to book hostel and mess, which we also paid.

Now they have given us a deadline of 10th May to pay the first academic fee — but I haven’t even received my 12th results yet, and I’m not fully sure if I want to take admission there.

Some background about me:

• I scored 89.60% in 10th.
• My father is in the Army.
• Based on this, they gave me a 30% + 20% scholarship.
• I took PCM in 12th but honestly didn’t study well. I kind of wasted my 2 years (I was in an integrated program).
• I want to pursue BTech in AI & Machine Learning, which LPU has allotted me a seat in .

The thing is… I live in Pune, which is already an IT hub. I’ve applied at MIT-WPU and Symbiosis too, but I’m not very confident about getting my desired branch in a “better” university because I don’t think my 12th marks will be great.

Now I’m stuck thinking:

• Is LPU worth it for BTech in AI/ML?
• Should I wait for my results and explore options in Pune?
• Does college matter that much in AI/ML, or is it more about skills?

I genuinely just want to know if I’m making a smart decision or an emotional one.

Would really appreciate honest advice from seniors or anyone studying at LPU or in AI/ML.

Now they have a deadline of 10th May to pay their 1st Academic fees but i havent even gotten my 12th result yet and still not sure if i wanna take admission . I just wanna know am i making the right choice ??
