so anybody remember on Sam and Cat when they switched Cat’s hair to a wig,

basically from Victorious til when the first half of Sam and Cat was airing Arianna would dye her hair weekly for the character,

but after years of doing so her hair got damaged from constantly bleaching and dying her hair on a weekly basis so she went back to her natural hair color and started wearing that painfully obviously wig for the last half of Sam and Cat.

mind you, Sam and Cat came out when I was in kindergarten and it was probably my favorite show at the time so I remember being 6 and immediately noticing that her hair looked different during the “Magic ATM” episode which was the first episode where they switched to the wig.

I also remember in the “Drone Baby Drone” episode they made a joke about it,
when the Zapathon drone took the kid they were babysitting they went there to find him

and the worker is telling them all the different items there drones have taken and one of them happens to be ladies wigs then Cat and Nona both grabbed there hair then questioned each other why which was an obvious inside joke,

and in the blooper episode Arianna is wearing her natural hair.

so funny little story time basically when I was a kid for a brief period of my life I thought Arianna Grande was biracial,
it was around the time Victorious was ending and Sam and Cat had just came out for the first time and I was like 5 so it had to be like early to mid 2013 at the time.

so I’m black and I grew up around a lot of mixed kids weather they were at my school or my neighborhood or something I was always around them,
and mind you her skin was tanned and I just assumed she was one of those mixed kids with a white mom that relaxed her hair and I knew it was dyed red from Victorious until the first 20 something episodes of Sam and Cat then she started wearing that painfully obvious wig so I didn’t really question her hair.

I actually remember one day I was debating with my older sister who was 12 at the time and also watched Victorious/Sam and Cat, I don’t remember how it came up but I remember saying something about her being mixed and she told me straight up that she was white which had me completely baffled bc young me just knew she had to be part black.

I’m graduating high school in a week so I’ve been feeling very nostalgic and I just wanted to get this funny little story time off my chest.
