This is a shared driveway. My busybody neighbour is always snooping. His camera is pointed to our front door; our house is adjacent so it’s turned fully at 90 degree angle. His backyard camera is always facing our garage and backyard from his window. It’s one of those portable cameras that can be moved around and anytime I’m outside in my garage and backyard, he moves it to aim right at me and my family. We’ve proof in the form of pictures of the camera placement taken from my own property. What is the recourse here?

For the porch, we’ve put some privacy shrubs but I’m so upset about the backyard cameras since they record audio.

Please note it’s absolutely possible to have cameras facing only our own properties. Our camera points only to our backyard and front porch and capture nothing of the neighbour’s property.

Kindly advise.

It’s been bothering my MIL that I haven’t changed my last name. I never will. I’m not from her culture or her religion. Months ago, I’d told both FIL and MIL when they brought it up, that I’ll never change my name. My FIL was upset but ultimately said “whatever you decide.” My MIL kept asking “why?” My DH told her to drop it.
She has, but only in his presence.

She now signs cards calling me DH’s last name. I never thank her for those cards, in my mind, she’s being disrespectful to me.
When in group pictures, she stands behind me and whispers “You are family last name.” It’s absolutely grinding my gears and I avoid her. I’m very proud of my name, my identity and my culture and I’ve made it very clear to her. She finds opportunities when DH is not there to call me “last name.”

How do I shut it down? Or am I over reacting?
