I’m looking for advice my child was diagnosed with BPD a few months ago… now plans on moving into dorms and perusing her bachelor’s degree. I live 3 hours away. How do I assist with this process and how likely they will succeed. has self harmed (cutting and burning) in the past and 1 suicidal event . We are meeting with psychiatrist in a couple weeks…. I’m so scared 😟

I’m at a loss… I have someone very special to me newly diagnosed with BPD… I’m doing my best to understand their needs and wants… I’ve been doing some reading a took a mini class on DBT…. I feel like I’m failing… I don’t know how to help them 😢 I’m afraid to loose them. She sees a counsellor but I don’t know if it’s been long enough to see an improvement diagnosis was only in March of this year…. Sorry if I’ve been rambling not making much sense but I really appreciated any advice you could give me
