My mom is a very tall woman, she’s 6” taller than me, on this day she was wearing heels that make her probably 9” taller than me maybe even a bit more… I was standing next to my mom and my aunt told us to get closer for the picture, my mom asked to look at the picture and said “omg I look like a giant, I’m towering over you” then wanted to retake the picture so she crouched down next to me so I said “why don’t you just take off your heels instead (of crouching)?”, my mom said she’s fine then grabbed my shoulders and bent down for the picture..

Afterwards my aunt (her sister who’s also very tall) said it’s rude for a man to tell a tall woman to take off her heels to be shorter and I have to “deal with” the fact I’ll never be taller than her…

I asked in AIO but I didn’t really get an answer on how to handle it better next time and wanted a tall personas opinion.

As a woman how do you feel when you’re asked to take off your heels?
