How Hard is it to Adapt the story of Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans into a Super Robot Wars game?
Iron Blooded Orphans seems impossible to adapt to a SRW story I think for a lot of reasons.
First off the setting: The story starts in Mars, which is a pretty rare thing in Mecha, so it will be hard introduce other series along side it at the start, then we get to space where we fight Gjallarhorn, then that Space Pirate, then Teiwaz, then the rematch with Gjallarhorn. Seems like a good place to start just to randomly run into them while in space. Then there's the arrival on Earth, where we would be skipping half of the story. We skip a few years into Season 2, Where this series goes all gas, but Mikazuki doesn't really fight all that often untill the battle with Hashmal.
Second is the factions: Tekkadan is an upstart mercenary company, They are actually taking the place of the typical Zeon faction in that they are the aggressors challenging the existing government, Gjallarhorn, Then there's Gjallarhorn, who is neither Federation, nor Zeon, not even Titans, They seem like their own original thing while also having their own subfactions within. Finally there's Teiwaz, who I don't know how they would incorporate into a SRW story, in being a mafia gang that's backing Tekkadan.
My Last point is the structure of the story: Season one revolves around Tekkadan taking on an escort mission to get Kudelia to Earth for a meeting, so either everything has to revolve around that or IBO has no story at all. Season 2 can work with Tekkadan taking on various contracts which can work nicely, if it wasn't for the finale and Mikazuki's declining health.
That is unless we get a second batch of Let's Go games set in Jhoto, and anything can happen with the Legends games, Imagine a Wind Waker-ekse Legends game set in the Alola Region. The Tapus were present in Sun & Moon, but their lore wasn't really flushed out. As well as a Legends game set in Jhoto giving the Legendary beasts an actual story spotlight.
