I’m dumbfounded. My doc finally (after 3 months of reporting zero support) adjusted my meds to include Adderall. I still get Vyvanse 60 too. She told me several ways to use them. For the first time ever, I took the Adderall and nothing happened. So, I opened my Vyvanse and took half, so 30. Nothing. A good 4 hrs later I took the second Adderall and NOTHING. She warned me the Adderall is gonna feel like a real boost after only trying Vyvanse too. I was hoping to break a pill in half so I could enjoy 5 mg a day till I needed to take a whole 10. You know, in order to not blow it all by going in heavy. Can anyone explain what could be happening here. I’ve read posts about the generic name playing a huge part and I see my bottle says Sandoz.

I didn’t mean for this to be so long. I really hope some of you can tolerate reading it, in hopes of some advice.🙏🏻

I’ve been taking Vyvanse on and off for about a year. (Diagnosed w/ ADHD a yr ago @46) For 3 months I’ve been saying it’s completely unreliable-and I’ve tried several different ways. Heard of and tried different tricks & tips for nothing to work is so incredibly discouraging. I have to take 2 days off and it leaves me sleeping mostly & crying often due to the fear & stress I feel around not having a supportive medicine.

SO! Yesterday, FINALLY, I was able to pick up a 60 count bottle of Adderall 10mg IR. GUESS WHAT?!?! NOTHING. Nothing like, NOTHING. I’m shocked. My psychiatrist said I had options of taking Vyvanse in the AM since I had two days off and take a booster later if I need it. Or, got straight to the Adderall in the AM & have another if I need it later. From what’s happened in the past, I can normally be good on just the V the first day.

Because I’ve had zero effect for so long I went straight for the Adderall in the morning, on an empty stomach. I waited and then even looked up how long IR takes to feel. Psh. After 30 mins I opened a V and took half, so 30mg of Vyvanse. NOTHING. Hours later and I could’ve take a nap, I took the booster and guess, just guess! Yep, NOTHING. I’m at a total loss. I just don’t understand how I’m supposed to function when nothing is helping. It took me so long to get my doc to move things around and then to have no reaction to any of it is totally discouraging. I don’t know what to do from here…where to go.
