EU based municipal lawyer, looking for job/career switch ideas

I am a municipal lawyer (head of legal) with job burnout. In short: I inherited legal department from biggest people pleaser I ever met. Former head of legal worked there few decades, constantly taking on unrelated work burdens of others, leaving lot of unpaid overtime hours each month, doing everything she could to please everyone, being constantly stressed. Now some coworkers expect me to do the same, leading to tensions and work stress. The money also is not really that good, and there's very little room for career growth at this position.

So I want to leave, and switch into something hybrid or remote, as I live far away from big cities (with not many job opportunities around). I am based in EU (Central Europe). Also would love to become a specialist in something (as I hate to be jack of all trades, but not really good at anything in my current job).

I surely do not mind switching to different area of law practice, or even completely outside of law. I do not mind learning new skills or getting certificates. Based on that, does anybody have any job ideas or recommendations for me?

Thanks for taking time to read this. I will greatly appreciate any feedback and or advice.

I am an EU based municipal lawyer with job burnout, looking for job/career switch. Can I get some ideas for remote options?

I am a municipal lawyer (head of legal) with job burnout. In short: I inherited legal department from biggest people pleaser I ever met. Former head of legal worked there few decades, constantly taking on unrelated work burdens of others, leaving lot of unpaid overtime hours each month, doing everything she could to please everyone, being constantly stressed. Now my coworkers expect me to do same for them. I already started enacting structural changes to make our department less chaotic and overburdened, to much joy of my team members, and a lot of anger from other coworkers. And my boss has little social skills, and just wants to avoid any fights. I already had like two nasty confrontations with a head of another department due to unauthorized delegation of work. I really hate confrontations like that. Beside that, theres still a lot of work pressure present. The money also is not really that good, and there's very little room for career growth at this position.

So I want to leave, and switch into something hybrid or remote, as I live far away from big cities (with not many job opportunities around). I am based in EU (Central Europe). Looking for career advice

I am a municipal lawyer (head of legal) with job burnout. Based in Central Europe. Would like to switch into something hybrid or remote, as I live far away from big cities (with not many job opportunities around). Also would love to become a specialist in something (as I hate to be jack of all trades, but not really good at anything in my current job).

Based on that, I am now looking into switching and specialise into GDPR (being relevant around whole EU being a huge incentive for me as well). I plan to do CIPP/E certificate. Beside that, I have no clue about GDPR roadmap. Would love to get some feedback on the idea. What can I do to become job ready? How difficult it is to actually get a job?

Thanks for taking time to read this. I will greatly appreciate any feedback and or advice.
