Title: Building my Indian mythic graphic novel universe – Gyanganj (7-volume plan)

Title: Building my Indian mythic graphic novel universe – Gyanganj (7-volume plan)

I Am Parteek Yadav- an indie graphic novel (Gyanganj) creator and I’m working on my own graphic novel series called Title: Building my Indian mythic graphic novel universe – Gyanganj (7-volume plan)

I’m working on my own graphic novel series called Gyanganj — a mythic, hidden realm set deep within the Himalayas, existing beyond normal time.

In my version, Gyanganj (also known as Siddhashram) is not just a spiritual place, but a guarded dimension where higher beings like Saptarshi and Chiranjivi figures exist — but I’ve reimagined it with a darker, conflict-driven narrative.

Volume 1 – Aarambh (The Beginning)

The story starts with three friends who go on a trip to the Himalayas.

After a series of accidental events, they discover a hidden cave containing a divine flower called Siddhipushpa, which grants them powers.

They are taken in by monks who begin training them to awaken these abilities.

But soon, a darker truth emerges — demons are searching for this flower.

A conflict unfolds, monks are killed, and before dying, a Guru gives them a map to Gyanganj.

To reach it, they must overcome the five inner human flaws.

Along the journey, one of the friends — Aditya — gets separated… and eventually returns as an antagonist.

Planned Structure (7 Volumes)

Volume 1: Origin, powers, separation

Volume 2: Aditya’s villain arc

Volume 3: Demon world introduction + first large-scale attack

Volume 4: Shapeshifter arc

Volume 5: Massive war (Gyanganj vs Demon world)

Volume 6: Main antagonist Devvrat enters

Volume 7: Final war conclusion (not a typical ending)

Each volume is planned as a full-length graphic novel (book format).

Universe Expansion (Beyond Gyanganj)

The world expands beyond a single hidden city.

There will be 4 additional ancient civilizations, each built around a core philosophy:

A Magic-based city

An Astra (weapons/energy) civilization

A Martial arts–driven society

A lost submerged continent inspired by Kumari Kandam

Core Idea

This isn’t just a story about powers or battles —

it’s about transformation, inner conflict, and hidden knowledge.

Would love honest feedback on:

The structure

The pacing of volumes

And the overall concept

Is it okay to make manga with ai?

Hi,

My name is Parteek. I am creating a graphic novel series named Gyanganj. I am preparing for a government job and side by side I am making this manga. Currently, I haven,t enough money to pay an artist. I pitched some comic studios but, nobody replied. I have made posts many times asking many artists for collab. but they say, if you haven,t money to pay then why should you see the dream to making manga. Then, i decided to make it with ai. Now, i generate the images through chatgpt, while I give detailed prompt in which lights , camera , direction flow , everything I imagined manually, ai only draws. then i arranged every image into comic panel in canva. Guys, don't you see how much effort I am putting in this. People who are making it with ai they make complete pages with ai . 1 prompt and every thing draws ai while I am putting manual efforts also for writing direction panelling character design. Anyways , I am attaching some pages that I have made.
