Anyone else stage 2/3, type IV?

Anyone else stage 2/3, type IV?

Diagnosed just this week. It's all a bit fresh, overwhelming and upsetting. However I'm also glad I have an answer.

The endocrinologist dismissed my progressive weight gain, since all other health markers were fine and diet globally fine “You just need to accept that this is your weight.”

The first cardiovascular specialist (woman) that I saw gaslit me. (“You don’t have lipedema, and even if you do it’s incurable anyway. Your struggle to lose weight is due to your negative mindset”)

The second specialist was fantastic, but I had to waitlist 6 months to get in to see him (France).

If you're at the same stage as me, I'd love to hear what's working for you in terms of conservative treatments and exercises?

I have a prescription for grade II and III leg compression. I have been told to stick to an anti-inflammatory diet, do lymphatic drainage massage, try some anti-fluid retention pills and start aquabiking and swimming laps.

Separately, I've already been on Wegovy for 6-7 months since I was struggling to lose weight (now I understand why!), and I have lost 12kgs.

I have fibrosis on the legs and cuffing at the wrist.

I've never felt anything like rice or peas under the skin.

I don't have sensitive legs, nor have I ever felt that they're especially heavy or painful after exercise.

They and my glutes have always been dense and tight however, which is not just muscle, or related to my chronic lower back pain, as I've always just assumed 🙃

Tips for what to bring for an apartment stay?

Would love some other ideas!
I'm coming to Malta in a few weeks and renting an old apartment, it'll have only basic kitchen/other accessories, and I'll go shopping for some stuff, but I'm wondering what others have found helpful to bring from home?

So far I'm thinking:
- ice cube tray
- ziplock bags for leftovers storage
- facewashers
- bottle opener in case there isn't one
- Maybe a bit of ground coffee and tea bags, I won't get through a full box of either in the time I'm there.

Dr has me on 1mg for 3 months - too long at same dose?

My question is, should I be going back to her and asking for the monthly dosage increases to continue? Or can I expect to keep progressing on the same dose?

Started at .25, progressed through .50 to 1mg at month 3, and then I went back to her to renew my prescription.

She gave me 3 months of renewal at the same dosage, I think because I told her the food noise is gone and I am slowly dropping weight, so in her mind, success at 1mg and no need to increase further?

Started at 99kg/218lbs, and 3 months in, I'm at 93.5kg/206lbs.
