Search for makers in the US

I'm new to the furry community and have always found it fascinating how creative people can be with their fursonas. I'm on the search for a decent fursuit maker who could make me a lion head based on my drawing but I like the open mouth look of the fursona in the 2nd slide. I also love the sleepy eyes and I want to keep highlights of green for mental health awareness.

Help!!!

I have been in a Dag group for about 6 months now and our practices have been consisting of me using cheap leather armor. I have been invited to take part in the upcoming events but I have been advised to invest in Dag legal armor. I keep searching high and low for 10 oz (5/32 inch) leather armor. I haven't found any etsy shop or trusted dag legal website that has such armor. It also doesn't help that most shops have terribly edited or A.I. generated photos that don't offer realistic specs.

I would also like to add that I'm an awkwardly shaped human. I'm short and built almost like a hobbit. I have been getting by enough with just some bracers and a half-plate that's nowhere close to legal but I want to be prepared for when winter games kick in.

Can someone point me in the right direction? Even if you're an armorer yourself. I don't care. I just want decent, LEGAL armor that fits the 10 oz (5/32") minimum standards.
