I walk to enjoy nature, and for the health benefits. Walking has been part of my regular summer mental and physical health recovery for years. I used to include short jogs to boost cardio/fat-burning, but an MCL injury sidelined my workouts this year. After months of PT, I'm making progress and finally walking without a limp or pain. I decided to go to one of my favorite places for a long walk after today's appointment. I've always loved walking and this sub helped me accept the injury, accept the slow recovery, and never give up. I walked over 13K steps today, which I haven't done in a very long time. I usually strive for 10K per day, so any extra is bonus.
*That is not my dog. I have a cat and she stayed home today :-)
