Calling it done ☑️
I feel like I’ve pushed this as far as my painting ability can take it, especially with the deadline I was working against. The base powders are still drying after the pigment fixer, but other than that… it’s finished ✅

So I’m currently painting Abaddon and I’ve hit a wall with the face. Has anyone got any tips, paint recipes, or tutorials they’ve followed that really helped? Would massively appreciate any advice 🙌
This is how far I've got with my current knight Destrier, just the lance and the top window to finish painting, then I’ll call it a day. After that, I’ll move on to complete some other knight projects before I start on number 2.
Lance weapons and the Thundershock Spear… how have you painted yours? Looking for ideas to make them really stand out on the tabletop.
I’ve never painted lance weapons on a knight so any and all images and references welcome, as well as tutorial’s follows would also be a great help 🙌
Picture for attention 😉
So I wasn’t fully satisfied with the pose I originally chose he was just standing there, and after seeing so many incredibly dynamic poses from other people’s knights, I started getting seriously jealous.
I’m not usually that adventurous with posing, but I wanted to try something with a bit more movement and character. So, fresh from the hunt, here is my newly posed Knight Destrier. Painting continues and hopefully I’ll be filling out the base a-bit more with some more debris
Really enjoying painting this model so far. It’s taken me the better part of a day just to black out all the trim and weapons, but the extra time has definitely been worth it. The darker detailing really sharpens everything up, makes the panels stand out more, and gives the whole model a much cleaner, more refined look. Still plenty left to do, but it’s finally starting to come together exactly how I imagined.
Red to go down next, then I can matt varnish it all and start working on the trim and metallics. There’s still a fair way to go before it’s finished, but I can see everything slowly coming together.
Late-night mistakes happen, can you spot the mistake? P.S. It's fixable
