Obviously the answer would be “he wasn’t written yet”

But what exactly would his role in the operation be down south when he’s as smart as he is?

I’m not in the know about the cartel lifestyle (I swear please believe me)

But wouldn’t it have made sense for him to be the one up north prior to his death dealing with all the nonsense there?

Why would tuco be running things over Lalo? What would lalo be doing south as in his role in the business?

I remember when the episode aired back in 2015, people were indifferent about it because it was a slower finale.

But then as the series goes along you keep seeing stuff happen to Jimmy that drags him into the Saul persona

Chucks betrayal was a big one, but then Marco dies feeling very fulfilled “best week of my life” & leaves a lasting mark on Jimmy to keep slippin’

I know medically as well it probably doesn’t hold much merit, but the emotional idea to me that Marcos body finally gives up because he finally got his best friend back & had a week of fun & he finally feels fulfilled after a long hiatus is a beautiful & tragic thought to me.

I just can never say enough good things about this show..

In my mind I see this as a way to show that he compartmentalizes all the stress he doesn’t show about big things & the things that bother him the most Chucks Betrayal, Jimmy feeling guilty for chucks death, then eventually when Kim leaves him the next shot we see of him is he’s essentially bald

Obviously as men age we lose hair , typically, however I think there’s clear symbolism in the show that they are trying to highlight it for a reason, could just be them saying “it’s his genetics look at this”

But I like to think his hair is the one thing that’s truly telling us he’s dealing with more than he lets on
