Exceed CFR Gravel
It's basically a drop bar Exceed with Rival shifters and the OEM only S1000 Transmission.
Tire clearance of 2,4"/62mm. Downtube storage. Fox 32 suspension fork with 60mm.
There's a flat bar model of the same new CFR frame too.
No XS size for this which is weird, I suspect that the drop bar made it a bit problematic.
However, I think it could be a very good option for those who need it. I'd say that it sits a level above the Grizl with the Rift fork, since that's only 40mm of travel with 54mm/2,1" tire clearance.
Canyon says that this bike is intended for ultra racing adventure, which is this new category that seems to be in trend right now. The Factor Sarana has a similar use case and we've seen it pit to very good use during this year's Tour Divide.
Ausschlag/Schweißflechte durch die Kleidung
Gibt es sowas? Ich dachte erst die paar roten Stellen wären Mückenstiche aber die haben gestern ganz komischerweise die Form der Ärmel und Hosenenden angenommen.
For anyone wondering about 35mm GP5000 and how a bike can sound like a foghorn:
Today, the rear brake started to sound like a foghorn while braking. I use a tracker to keep track of the wear of the components and there were about 500km left until the limit I set to check the pads, but I guess the real-world situation is different. Unfortunately, that means that I won't be able to ride my bike safely until Wednesday.
Tomorrow is a holiday and the pads I already ordered to replace the current ones after the holiday won't come until Wednesday. Oh well. I guess I could use tomorrow as a rest day.
Today's route included a pretty extended gravel section, so I switched the 35mm Continental GP500 S TR I used for a couple of weeks for the 50mm G-One R Pro. Both with tubes, because tubeless and switching like that don't really match.
The GP are definitely fast, but I felt much more comfortable again today. I had the tire pressure fairly mid with the GP but a bit high today with the R, but still, cracked asphalt felt much less jarring. The whole bike feels a more stable, can't say much about he steering, the route was pretty straight.
This bike is rated for up to 50mm and it looks like that deviating too much from it has negative consequences.
