Spelling edit! *Gorch Fock! Parade of Sails this morning in NY Harbor passing Lady Liberty. So hot out but it was worth it. Lots of sailors in the rigging on the ships, chanting and waving to us. Planning on touring a few ships while in dock this weekend. I feel so lucky!
Long time lurker, first time poster. Detrashed the tidal marsh today in the park with a big group of volunteers, sorted, counted and weighed to collect the data. Saved a few items for crafting! Super fun.
This DOT is really banging stuff out! It wasn't that difficult after all. I can stop avoiding Flatbush for the first time in 25 years of biking.
Wouldn't it be cool if you had to have a custom key, linked to your valid driver's license to operate even private motor vehicles? So if you had unpaid violations or a suspended license you'd be barred from driving entirely? Sure would help with street safety.
