A minor change but one I was curious about since it would change how Stannis and his campaign is viewed by the lords of Westeros if his heir was male instead of female.

What changes if Shireen is born as Steffon Baratheon, Stannis’s son and heir?

Obviously Stannis would take a more active role in Steffon’s upbringing. How does that change his character?

Is Robert jealous somewhat Stannis has a son who looks like an actual Baratheon?

How does the build up to War of the Five Kings go with Stannis having a son? Do the Stormlords initially flock to Renly or would they see Stannis’s line as more secure and think him the better, legal choice? Would Renly even rebel knowing his older brother might be looked at more favorably than him?

And finally, with Renly likely dying the same, does Mace Tyrell offer Margaery as a bride to young Steffon (paralleling canon with the Margaery and Tommen marriage), instead of going for Joffrey?

If that doesn’t work, what other pairings are presented? Would Robb offer Sansa or Arya for Steffon in exchange for support of the North/Riverlands?

Any other significant changes?
