I started watching Charmed when I was in my early teens - being in South Africa, we used to get seasons aired a year later than the original US dates, so we were always a year behind. For me, the show finale aired just before I finished high school and I'm sure it was the same for a lot of you.

Undeniably, there has been a lot of drama around the series and that generated a lot of discussion. First was the cast drama, then the writers/producer room revelations and then the relationship to the 2018 series. Charmed isn't the first show to have this and it definitely won't be the last.

Personally, I stopped watching the show for a period of around 10 years ago. Being that this was one of my very first favorite TV programs, I was unable back then to discern the creative product from the backstage antics (also it got to a point where I knew the scripts line for line, but let's skate past that...). I recently started watching the show again after my YouTube feed recommended episode clips from PlutoTV.

Coming back after a decade or so is like being welcomed by an old friend that you haven't seen in a long time. I know the plots but I'm pleasantly surprised at certain funny lines or dramatic scenes. I also have new favorite episodes that I wouldn't have considered before. And that's the feeling I'd like to keep - I want to remember this show for giving me a sense of family, for being one of the very first things my sister and I bonded over, for being a piece of home whilst I was away in my college years. No one can change what happened all those years ago, but we all still appreciate the show in different ways.

So I'd like to hear from you - what does Charmed mean to you and what memories do you hold special from it?

I recently connected with someone from high school who I haven’t spoken to in a long time. I used to have feelings for him but I was sure that he was straight, so I kind of let go. When we reconnected, he was really happy to hear from me. He calls every Sunday without fail and is looking forward to me coming down to my hometown soon (he even planned an entire lunch and movie outing). I would like things to develop romantically but I don’t want to get my hopes up again.

I used my TV tarot deck to do a three card spread. The knight of cups and 10 of cups are positive signs but I’m not sure of the 8 of wands.

What do you think? Is there a chance?
