I’m 23 in few months and I’m living central london and thinking about getting into scaffolding have me CSCS test in one week 100% going to pass.

looking into the salary and compared to other construction roles out there it’s high paying of course cause the productivity and risk, that’s why I wanna do it it’s high paying love being out and seems fun plus thinking and doing for 4-5 years and then start my own company or invest my 4-5 year savings.

The questions I have:

- How much could you be making after 1st and 2nd year in scaffolding?

- Would you say you payed well?

- do you think scaffolding apprentice is paid well?

- do you have any tips or advice?

- best company’s to reach-out to for apprenticeship roles in central London?

- what do you love and what do you hate about the job?

- are the scaffolding salaries in uk right? Or is higher?

I’m turning 23 soon and feel like I’ve hit rock bottom. I moved out at 18 to escape a toxic home, lost my mum a year ago and have no family support. I’m currently in a London house share, but I have £0 to my name and some days I’m literally choosing between rent and eating. I’ve made mistakes lost money trading and looking for shortcuts but I’m done with that. I want to build a real, honest and successful life, but I’m stuck in a cycle of survival.

I’ve thought about saving for drop shipping but at my current rate, that would take a year of starving myself. I’m not asking for money I’m asking for a way out.

I need advice on:

• Career: Given I’m 22 with no safety net, what’s a realistic path to financial security?
