Planning to move from mindanao to MNL (specifically sa BGC)

Hello po! I recently applied to a company and I was really hoping to be assigned in a wfh/remote position. Unfortunately, onsite lng ang ino-offer nila sa ngayon sa akin and their office is in BGC. The recruiter told me the total salary package would be 35k. Do you think this is enough considering to live somewhere near BGC? I am not a breadwinner too so possibly my money would be only for me only but ofc I'd still give something to my parents. Help a gurlie out hehe thank you!

Shearwater Eligibility

Hello po! May I ask po sa mga nasa shearwater ngayon, need po ba talaga ng 6-12 months bedside experience for PHRN Role? Kase I was supposed to have my interview last last week with them pero kinancel ng isa sa recruiter because she called me and asked me if I had bedside experience. I only have 4 months of bedside experience. She told me hindi ako pasok kase 4 months lng yun. But I have been reading posts here in reddit and even sa ibang online platforms na na-hire sila ng without experience for the PHRN role. Please help me out po I really would love to work under this company. Thank you!

Does shearwater offers WFH for PHRN role?

Hello po! May I ask about sa shearwater po kase I got a call from them last week and possible nga daw na tanggapin nila ako waiting nalng ako sa interview. I'm just curious if may wfh setup ba sa PHRN role nila? If possible kase mas maganda na dito lng ako sa amin since I am living in mindanao pa and yung onsite nila is BGC or Cebu pa.

Shearwater eligibility for PHRN position and NCLEX Academy

Or meron ba dito na nakapasok kahit walang experience o kahit less than 6mos experience lang? For context, I only have 4 months of bedside experience. I want the idea na they can help with your nclex application and at the same time, earn some money at soft nursing pa. Ang mahal if mag DIY lng ako ng NCLEX and their program would gave much help for me.

It would really be much appreciated po sa makakasagot. Thank you!

All kinds of Work needs backer talaga noh?

Hello! I'm a registered nurse (Nov 2025 passer) and I just resigned from bedside nurse last may 31 pa dahil na burned out talaga ako sa bedside and I thought to myself that bedside is not for me. I wanted to try other nursing jobs aside from hospital.

Up until now, wala pa rin akong work. I wanted to try soft nursing specifically medical VA sana pero ang hirap pala maka pasok dito. Puro rejections ang iyong mapapala since most of them requires you to have 1-2 yrs of bedside/ medical va/ BPO experience talaga. Ang tight ng job market sa medical world eh noh akala ko kase madali maka sungkit ng work dito since some of my batchmates are working in the va world. Ang dali lng nila nakapasok. But I realized parang may backer nga sila o may direct referral talaga sila since nasabi rin ng isang ka batch ko na her sister was part of the team so ayun naging va narin sya.

Now I realize na lahat ng jobs ay may backer system talaga kase sa last job ko sa bedside eh may backer rin ako don eh. I know some may think that I shouldn't have let go of my job but ayoko yung nasisira ang mental health ko.

Now I would like to ask for advice if worth it pa ba na to apply for MEDICAL VA? Or should I just try looking for other soft nursing jobs aside from medical virtual assistant?

Would very much appreciate sa makakapag give ng advice. Thank you!

I'm tired. In need of work asap :((

Just wanna share what I feel here. I'm an RN w/ only 4 months of bedside work experience kase na burnt out ako sa bedside. While I was rendering na before I resigned, I was actively and constantly looking for wfh medical va jobs since that was what I was eyeing for na work after shifting from bedside nursing. I edited my resume a bit so it would fit better as someone applying for medical VA. Pero wala pa rin nag hihire sa akin even after I am done rendering. Baka din kase walang naghi-hire sa akin since I have no experience as medical VA and had only 4 months of bedside experience. So sinabi ko sa sarili ko na pagkatapos ng pag render sa hospital, I will research more since I have read and watch testimonials from other people na you will learn more about the VA industry and I should edit my resume again.

Now, it has been almost a month of being unemployed again. I edited my resume, researched more about the medical VA world. I also enrolled to free HIPAA certification. Tinry ko rin kumuha nung free VA notes ni bryarn yung sa tiktok at infairness I learned a lot there. I am planning also to try applying for free medical VA courses or certifications and maybe the medical coder certification pero kadalasan sa nasesearch ko, may bayad ito. I also tried applying for non medical va jobs like general VA nagbabakasakali lng na ma hire sa ganitong niche. I made another resume fit for this role din and so far, bokya pa rin :<

Pero you know, the constant rejections makes me feel tired and hopeless. Pero naniniwala talaga ako na hospital work is not for all RNs. I just want to explore this side of nursing and maybe someday, I will go back to bedside. But as of now, I am eager to work in the medical va world. I hope my parents can understand that but lately, nakakababa ng self esteem yung mga sinasabi nila.

I wanna prove to my parents that they are wrong and that I can be successful in this line of work. I am not giving up tho. I just wanna express what I feel kinda makes me feel better hehe sorry for the drama.

Pero baka naman sa iba jan, may tips pa po ba kayo on how I can successfully land a job in the MEDICAL VA world? Just any advice or baka may ma refer po kayo na tumatanggap ng No experience. Would very much appreciate any of your insights :))

Salamat sa pagbabasa ng aking drama hehe

CAN FREE CERTIFICATES IN THE INTERNET BE USED FOR MED VA APPLICATION?

Hello po! May tanong lng sana ako kase may mga na search ako na free certification of medical coding at HIPAA certification. May I ask kung pwede ba yun gamitin po? May aaralin like mga modules din sa mga free certificates before makuha ang certificate naman. May exam/quiz din every after module at may parang final exam after taking all modules. May I ask if meron na ba nag ganito? Kase po almost mag 1 month na akong nagtatry mag apply as medical VA at palagi parin akong bigo :(( I have no experience as a medical VA but I am a registered nurse with bedside experience (4 months). I wanna switch to VA world kase I got burnt out talaga sa bedside nursing. Nag ta try ako mag apply sa mga agencies na nagha-hire kuno ng no experience pero until now, I'm still unemployed :((

Sa sino man po makakasagot, I would very much appreciate it. Thank you!

I'm an aspiring MED VA kase and I still don't have equipments needed for va like the laptop and headphones with mic (but I am planning to buy both). I do have an ipad and my phone. Is it okay to record myself using ipad lng muna? Salamat po sa makaka sagot! :))
