Response to Ticket sales email
Have purchased packages in the past. Bought subway series tickets this year for one game. Then bombarded by sales email. Here is my response.
I am writing to inform you that I will not be purchasing any ticket packages or experiences due to the way Mets ticket sales treated loyal fans this offseason.
It was an absolute embarrassment and a slap in the face that you withheld single-game tickets during the offseason, clearly pressuring fans into buying packages. This was a shortsighted and disrespectful tactic that alienated dedicated supporters instead of rewarding them. I have bought packages in the past, but after this experience, I will never do so again.
My father has been a Mets fan since the franchise’s birth. He is now in full protest mode and has no plans to attend any games this season because of how the organization has tested and mistreated its most loyal fans. You have succeeded in driving away multi-generational customers who have supported this team through thick and thin.
This approach may fill some premium packages in the short term, but it damages long-term fan loyalty and trust. I hope the sales team reflects on that.
Do not contact me about any future packages or special offers.
