Industrial bench. I am welding a frame for a heavy duty industrial bench, using steel tubes of various diameters to create a sturdy pattern. Here is a quick look at the raw welds and components before the final clean up and paint. Tonight I will be joining this frame to a 27mm thick solid oak panel, tomorrow the finished product will be the bench.

Bench seat, industrial style made of thick steel pipes. The finished product will be delivered tomorrow!

Industrial style bench at the beginning of assembly. Pipes of various sizes and diameters will be used. Pre-cleaned and varnished. The height of the bench will be about 45 cm, length 90 cm and depth 35 cm. It is a bench for indoor use, raw appearance treated with matte varnish. Here are some close-up shots of the welding process and the details of the frame before cleaning. The top will be made of 27 mm oak veneer. I will make the final adjustments to it tonight and publish the finished build tomorrow.

Industrial task chair made of steel and reclaimed wood with custom corner brackets and X-shaped side braces.

The frame is completely hand-welded with Co2 from 30x30 mm square steel tubes and has solid 20x20 mm X-braces on the sides for maximum stability. The corner reinforcement is made of 5 mm sheet metal, cut, welded and ground. The rivets are fake, they are welded on. I left the metal raw under a transparent varnish so that all the workshop details remain visible. The bottom of the legs is protected against scratches.

A trio of hand-welded industrial utility chairs: raw steel, white satin, and blackened frames.

The frames are hand-welded from 30x30mm square steel tubing, with corner brackets secured with solid, unpolished steel rivets for an authentic, mechanical look. The Black & Blackened version has a full matte black frame and a tanned spruce top The Scandinavian Clean version contrasts with a smooth satin white frame The Raw & Torched version retains the hand-polished steel frame under a clear matte varnish Each chair is rock solid and measures 30x45cm with a height of 25cm. I’d love to know which version you like the most!

Industrial style utility table. Custom corner consoles

Industrial style table. The frame is TIG welded from 30x30mm steel tubing and painted matte black. I made my own corner bracket, used 3mm sheet metal to attach the spruce top and added solid rivets for a mechanical, heavy industrial look. The wood is lightly tanned with a small torch to catch the burnt paint a bit. I added protective pads to the bottom to protect the floor from scratches. Dimensions are approximately 30x45cm, height 25cm.

Two types of small industrial utility chairs. Welded steel tubes and sheet metal with clear coating. Strong and stable.

Industrial small metal tables. Both frames are hand-welded from 30x30 mm steel profiles, 30x5 mm strip. I tried to leave the welds exposed, without unnecessary grinding. For one I used a solid steel plate and for the other I chose a slatted/grated design. I left the metal raw under a transparent matte varnish to protect it against corrosion. Dimensions are approximately 30x45 cm, height 25 cm. Not suitable for long-term sitting - low height. Strong enough to be used as a chair, step or small flower stand.

Industrial minimalism: Small utility stool with a raw steel frame.

I wanted to create something solid and simple. The frame is welded from square steel tubes 30x30 mm, strip material and I decided to leave the sanded corners raw under a transparent anti-corrosion varnish to show the manual production process. On top is a solid piece of spruce wood that is slightly brushed, the height of the table is about 30 cm and the length is 40 cm. I am currently testing it as a small stool for occasional sitting. I would like to hear your opinions on how to improve it.

Industrial steel stand with solid oak wood

The finished shelf. I used solid oak for the shelves to create a warm contrast with the raw, hand-welded industrial steel. Each cube has internal dimensions of approximately 34x34 cm, which provides plenty of space for plates.

I tried something different with the frame of this bench. A bold red paint job, instead of my usual raw steel finish.

I make this durable chair in my workshop. The total weight of one chair is around 20 kg. I focus on durability and raw industrial aesthetics. Used square tubing 40x40 strip 40x5 mm for a larger table. The small one is square tubing 30x30 strip 30x5 mm, beech wood thickness 27 mm. Spot welding used on the outside, on the inside, where it is not visible, welded to give it its strength. Spot welding covered with welded rivets. On the bottom of the legs are plastic floor protections against scratches.
