I often feel like the odd one out as I didn't give myself a new name (not counting changing the spelling because I'm still referred to in person by my birth name), but the reason I decided to keep my name was not only was it a unisex name (Lindsay) that was biased towards women, but I started to really appreciate it more once transitioning. I honestly couldn't see myself as anyone else but as a Lindsay, even if I started to spell it as Lyndsey (mostly just to double down on the femininity than anything else). At least with a name like mine it's easy to get away with (though ironically I was called a girl a lot by people who had no idea what my gender was).

I understand that not everyone has the privilege to be able to get away with their birth name for a variety of reasons, but I'm curious if other people didn't change their name for whatever reason.
