At Hardly Strictly Bluegrass!

Here's another bit of wobble from yesterday's set at the Austin City Limits Festival. It's Whirlwind, but I've never heard them do it at this tempo...

All the boys were on fire throughout their set yesterday, but I think Adam was especially smokin here.... 🔥

So, screen-recording any of the live-streaming music from the ACL Festival was/is strictly prohibited, which I discovered as Jesse was taking the stage today in Austin 😒 So I went janky old school, streamed his set on one phone while holding up another phone, and recording it that way.

Janky is the operative word here 😅 I was literally using both hands to hold the recording phone, for an hour, so there are definitely some wobbles. I won't be putting any of this up on my YouTube channel, because it's too wobbly, and because I'm still kinda stinging from last year's copyright strike I got for putting up his Farm Aid set (which, incidentally, is why I'm not a fan of Nugs 😠).

But I did want to get at least this much up for you guys. This was about 11 minutes into his hour-long set. This is where he says he's glad to be back in Talarico country, and AFAIK, this is the only time Jesse has ever mentioned a current politician by name, in a favorable light. The crowd very much appreciates it.

They then go into the song Red.

If I can, I'll get a couple more songs up here for you guys - the slower tempo Whirlwind was a standout, IMHO - but it's gonna be a crazy few days for me, so it might take me a day or two 🙂
