Voice of Decay - still shots

Hello!! I cannot thank you all enough for the amount of love you have shown me and my Warlord Titan of Nurgle, I couldn’t be happier with how well it’s been received within the 40k community! It was an insanely fun project to work on and learned a lot during the process.

Going to try and answer a few of the most asked questions i’ve received so far

“How long did it take?”
-
I started the project in early April of this year, and slowly chipped away at it logging about 3-5hrs every night after work. And when I could, i’d spend the whole weekends working on it, my best guess is 350-400+ hours. It was honestly a project I could’ve worked on forever, but had to put the pencils down for a Rusty Nurgling contest this past weekend.

“How heavy is it?”
-
The base model weighs about 15-20lbs (6-10kg),
I put a bunch of other stuff on it, like dirt and rocks, and of course greenstuff and milliput, and it added a bunch of extra weight. So my best guess is it’s roughly around 25-30lbs (11-13kg)?

“Do you have any tutorials or videos?”
-
Unfortunately I do not, I still consider myself “mid-level” at this hobby, so I don’t believe i’d be the best teacher. I’m also not the most charismatic person and very camera shy/ do not like the sound of my own voice. So I opted to not record anything. I did take plenty of progress pictures along the way. and hopefully that will suffice for some of you.

“How much did this cost to make?”
-
Hahahah oh man, I do not even want to think about it..
but sure let’s do the math together!
- FW Warlord Titan is about $2500+ USD,
- other misc GW kits - $860+ USD
- paints & material ~roughly $750+ USD
so my best estimate is around = $4110~

I’m sure there are plenty of questions I missed, feel free to shoot them here, i’ll try to answer as much as possible!

Voice of Decay - Warlord Titan of Nurgle

After 350+ hrs of work, 10+ rolls of greenstuff, and at least 20+ bottles of dirty down rust. It’s finally done.

Warlord Titan of Nurgle - “Voice of Decay”

Wanted to share some photo of a massive project i’ve been working on over the past month, learned a lot about green stuff and milliput sculpting.

Still lots of work to do, but i’m pretty happy with what I have so far!
