The Odyssey Printworks 70MM IMAX extra 8AM showings with GOOD SEATS this week

Just letting people know that some extra 8AM showings have been added at Manchester Printworks 70MM IMAX, such as this Friday and Saturday, and they still have some decent seats left in the back rows unlike the other fully booked showings! For example the image below is the availability for THIS FRIDAY (not like a month in advance)! Get the seats whilst you can lol

Tight grommet

So I've finally found somewhere to get the power wire through the fire wall for my subwoofer but now it's on to the next issue. This is the only grommet I could find and it's very small. I can't get the grommet to seat back in now because the newly added wire (the orange one) is making it too wide. The question is, just how dangerous would it be to leave the wire like this (basically touching the chasis)? Could I put some sponge or material around it so that it doesn't touch the chasis directly? I know I'm unqualified for this job but the nearest place that could professionally install this sort of thing is a 2 hours drive away and they are asking for £200 just to fit my sub setup (which costs only slightly more than that at £290). TIA

Is fast track worth it for a single rider?

I'm planning on going to Alton Towers this Saturday (I know, its best not to go on Saturday but its literally the only day I can do until later in the summer holidays in which it'll be even busier). I will be going alone as the rest of my family aren't keen on roller coasters etc, is it still worth getting fast pass as a solo rider or is it just as quick to go in the solo rider queues? Another thing I've heard is that the solo rider queues just have groups in them anyway on busier days and therefore are just as slow as the main queue, is this true? Crowd Calendar predicts 62% capacity, just how busy is that?

I plan to get there for opening (10AM), is it quieter at this time or does everyone have the same idea?

I'm planning to drive from Wales, which road to Alton is best (easier to drive or quieter), via the M54/M6 or via Market Drayton/Stoke? Looking at Google Maps the roads don't look particularly wide or high capacity closer to Alton, how bad does traffic get (I only passed my driving test a few months ago, I don't want too much chaos!) I'm sure that's hard to answer but any insight is appreciated!

Stuck between choosing the technological uni courses

Basically I want to go to University next year (2027) to get out there on my own and to finally start learning something that will be useful for a career rather than just doing subjects for the sake of it like I kind of am right now in A Levels. I am stuck between the computer courses as I know I want the course to be technology based since I LOVE TECH but it's hard to choose just one. I've been looking at Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Astronautics and Space Engineering and Computer Engineering. Problem is none of them fit exactly into what I am currently into! For context I like reviewing technology such as new phones that come out and seeing which has the best camera etc. I keep up to date with the latest hardware such as GPUs and screen technology e.g. Micro-LED but this is mostly watching videos online rather than getting hands on with much. With the lack of experience of doing anything I'm finding it hard to actually know what I want to do. I've tried coding games in the past when I was 14 (I'm 18 now) but I kinda just stopped after around a year after realising just how hard coding well in C# is and haven't touched it since. I'm unsure if this is because I didn't like coding or if it was just too time consuming for me. I've never really even touched engineering before and unsure if I'll like that too, with me building my PC probably being the closest thing lol. There's also the threat of AI just doing my job in the future if I end up going Computer Science as that is very programming heavy and AI is already replacing many of those jobs, AI is even coding the next AI now! Space also fascinates me which is why I've thrown space astronautics in there as well. I love SpaceX and their dreams of going to mars using reusable rockets, and it would be a dream come true if I could somehow help us get there, but again I'm unsure on the path to actually get that job. Basically I just can't seem to find the perfect course that ticks all the boxes for me, most of them have an element that I don't like the sound of etc! How do you choose?!

First cosplay, having trouble knowing what to do (Miku)

So I've just bought a Hatsune Miku cosplay outfit off of DokiDoki and I am going to the Birmingham NEC anime cosplay next month. Problem is I haven't a clue what I'm doing lol. Since I'm male I'm wondering how much I need to do to look good. I'm 5 foot 6 and fairly thin so I should be able to pull this off decently.

  1. Do I need to puff out my chest and if so how is best to do it? Get a small bra and stuff it with cotton? What size do I get? Idk if you can tell from the photo but it looks really baggy there

  2. Will makeup like lipstick help the feminine look on me? What makeup should I get if so (I have no experience with any makeup)

  3. How do I keep the twintails from tangling beyond repair. I haven't even tried them on yet (I'm scared to do so) and they are already looking a little tangled lol. Do the clips not pull out the hair from the base wig when clipped on?

  4. Wtf do I wear beneath the skirt? I don't think it's appropriate to just have my boxers on under

  5. It feels like the high socks might fall down after a while, is there anyway to ensure they don't?

  6. The bangs seem to keep getting in the way of my eyes. Do I need to use hair gel or smth to keep them away?

Any other tips would be appreciated as well, as I said, I haven't a clue what I'm doing lol. Another thing is obviously carrying any items I've bought and personal belongings. There isn't really any pockets on the outfit. So much to think about...

Premier Inn age policy?

So I'm going to the Birmingham NEC Anime con convention next month and we would need to stay in a hotel overnight. Problem is I'm 18 and one of my friends are 18, but the other friend is 15. Will this be an issue because in the T&C it says they must be staying with a parent or guardian? It would be a family room to try and save money.
