Insurance

How much are y’all paying for insurance? I have two cars 2020 gmc sierra and the 2026 solterra and we pay $2167 for 6 months, no accidents or marks in driving record. That seems insane to me. I want to shop around but I don’t want to have 30 insurance companies spam calling me.

Can I just cap this?

I have old sprinklers and valves. My valve box fills up with water when my sprinklers are on during the summer. It never drains. It is full all day every day. Recently, I dug up the closest sprinkler head thinking maybe there was a leak. I did find what I thought was a leak and fix that when I turned my water back on there was still water flowing so I continue digging and found this valve. When I look online, it says it is just a drain valve. So the sprinkler system will drain when the sprinklers turn off. My father-in-law says it’s an antisiphon valve and if I don’t have it on there, contaminated water will flow through my house’s water system and that’s what I will be drinking out of my kitchen faucet.

I’d really like to just cap it because of how closely it is located next to my valve box so that it stops filling up with water all summer long but I don’t want to contaminate my house water either.

Pictured is the location of the valve with my valve box. As well as my investigative pictures of the valve before I figured out what it was, I thought it was full of dirt based on how it looked when I unscrewed it.
