reminder for fellow dads: small things can lessen mom's burden by a lot
my daughter started feeding herself recently and she loves using her hands. it is amazing to watch, but she was ruining like three outfits a day with food stains. my wife was constantly doing laundry and getting stressed out about the mess.
i realized i shouldn't ignore these small things, so i did some searching for a solution. i found out about these waterproof long sleeve smocks. they are super common and you can grab them pretty much anywhere like shein or any other online site for really cheap. now, we just pop one on before she eats, and when she's done, we just rinse it off in the bathroom sink.
it is such a small thing, but it cut down my wife's daily workload so much. i can't always be around every second like her mom is, but i want to do whatever i can to help out. seeing our little girl eat so well without the cleanup stress makes me so happy. dads, don't overlook the little things!
