The most scuffed way to "farm" one of the rarest items in the game
How many of you know about the existence of Kleos, Spear of Athuala? Because if you played the campaign while not being either a Barb, Druid, or Spiritborn, it's almost impossible to obtain.
It's a unique polearm with a cool but meh effect of each of your skill uses having a chance to summon a valkyrie (seemingly limited to 1 on field so no valkrie army via mass spamming skills). It is also a guaranteed drop from the Adreona campaign boss fight IF you fought her as one of the aforementioned 3 classes. But outside of this one specific instance it is so rare that there seemingly hasn't yet been a recorded instance of anyone actually getting it outside of Adreona's guaranteed drop that only 3 classes will get. It is not target farmable as no lair drop has it in their loot pool nor is it unique craftable from a white base polearm.
So how to "farm" it for a good affix roll or maybe even an Ancestral variant? Well...in possibly the most absurd way imaginable, keep making alts, transfer a T12-stomp gear setup to them, instantly powerlevel said alts to lvl70 with whisper caches, play the campaign on the highest Torment tier possible with functionally no glyphs, and then...get ONE drop every 3 hours or so. Because that's how long it takes to reach Adreona with all campaign dialogue skipped, all fights blitzed through in seconds, and with cracked movement speed just sprinting to each set piece faster than a mount. So it's one drop per 3 hours...which ironically is much, much faster than trying to get it as a random drop.
And there's no guarantee of the spear being ancestral even on T12 albeit this doesn't even matter since apparently it isn't unique charm convertible anyways (honestly not sure because i haven't gotten an ancestral variant to drop and it's decently likely that no one has). So it's a 2-hander without an offense legendary aspect with an RNG-based effect (pretty consistent tbh, so the chance seems decently high) that summons a meh minion who mainly just looks cool.
That being said, however, it's not a complete crapshoot since there are some interesting benefits to replaying the campaign. Mainly, every boss is functionally Seer's Reach in that they drop at least 3 royal quality gems on Torment tiers. One of them even has a huge gem payout (the golem before the vault). Also, since Adreona is close to the end of the campaign anyways you might as well also fight Mephisto too whose maybe 10 minutes apart from that point as a final loot pinata with one guaranteed drop of Sliver of Hatred if you care about that ring. Aka if you're grinding Seer's Reach for gems and are going insane from the monotony, you can whisper cache power level alts to gem farm the campaign instead while maybe farming a giga-rare item in the process.
If you like the campaign, then this can be a fun way to gain some additional benefits off replaying it (gems, Kleos, and Sliver). If not, then it's a comically scuffed method to target farm a meh ultra rare trophy item and the only way to do so too.
