Recommended union jack tail lights?
I'm looking for union jack tail lights, and would like to buy just once. Are the SMPS ones the golden standard, or are the cheaper Killallchrome versions or ebay specials just as nice?

I was today old when I realized that if I shorten this tab on the airbox lid by 10mm, the wrestling matches with the battery terminal thingy become a lot easier. Makes no difference in how the terminal stays in place btw.
I have owned this car since 2012 and I'm feeling pretty stupid now. Please don't tell me this has been common knowledge since forever.
There have been a few posts lately about the very common rust problem around the tail lights. Here's my experience about fixing the left side bottom 4 years ago.
There were these nasty bubbles below the tail light, so I removed the paint and found a substantial whole, showing that also the panel below the body panel was rusted. These bits were then cut off, which revealed that the rust had spread a lot further underneath than what was showing on the outer surface.
So we made the hole bigger until there was just healthy metal underneath. Then a mate with mad welding skills made a replacement panel, and another mate finished the surface with filler and a lick of paint.
And now 4 years later here's a little bubble in the paint left side of the tail light about half way up, so we should have probably replaced the whole rear quarter really...
I've had my 2006 JCW since 2012, and there's no way I'm ever selling it. It was my daily at first, but after a cylinder head failure back in 2016 it was taken off the road for the winter, and it has since been strictly a summer car. I recently finished a full engine rebuild with forged and balanced internals, and the journey continues. It has 248k km on the clock, and I have driven 158k of those.
I know there are ppl who have had their 1st gen's from new, and I truly envy the dedication. They do grow on you.
So I installed this oil cooler when I did a full rebuild with forged and balanced internals. I track the car quite often, and it's only driven during the summer, so I didn't even consider putting a thermostat on it.
I think that might have been a mistake, as it takes over 15min of driving (on the road) before the oil temp hits 90deg C with a length of duct tape covering the grill where the cooler sits. Water temp sits around 90-92deg C and gets there pretty fast.
Anyone else having similar issues with an oil cooler, or is it even an issue? I think an inline thermostat could fit in there somewhe...
It's a bit cheaper than the Link G4X, but how does it compare otherwise? My car is quite modified and I'm currently tuning the stock ecu with Bytetronik, and this route has it's limitations...

Anyone who has installed a w/m kit, where did you put the nozzle and why? Obviously after the ic on the horn, but where on it.... I've read that it's best to have the spray 90deg to the airflow, but I've also seen ppl spray towards the intake.
I was thinking of putting it behind the horn (1st pic) rather than on the side (2nd pic). Would be slightly more stealth too...
