Hourly rates in CA

Hi guys!

I live in San Francisco and was wondering if anyone here or has worked here thinks $35/hr (1 kid) and $41(2kids) is a lot to charge for a full time position. I have 6 years of experience and good references. Also, this is what I’m currently getting paid from my recent gigs. But i’m looking now and can’t tell if I’m not getting interviews due to the price. Also one family asked if I would do meal prep and laundry and I said I would for extra hourly so maybe like $38 (1 kid)

Cost of living here is really high so I’m not trying to price gouge I swear. I have bills to pay too 🫩

Asking to be paid out of PTO

Hey so I unexpectedly got let go and wasn’t able to use my PTO at all. Am I crazy for asking to be paid out of it? I was saving them for a trip. I’m under contract with this family too and they randomly decided to hire two new nannies who would do 2 weeks (24/7) on a rotation with each other. So me and current live in nanny (I only work Fri-Sun), got let go. We were pretty much blind sided and now I have to find a new job. We didn’t do anything wrong, I think since we’re younger they figured they’re better off with older people. But because of this situation, is it reasonable for me to ask for them to pay me out? There was even a day where I wasn’t allowed to go home when I was sick w a 103 degree fever, I feel like they’re just very tricky people.

New to Reta!

Hi guys, I did a trial of Reta starting at 1,1.5, then 2mg but after I took 2mg I got really sick (not from the Reta) so I stopped taking it and its been a month or so since and I decided to restart again with 2mg. I am 26, 5’4, 162lbs. My goal is 125-130 lbs. I try to get in at least 10k steps a day but it’s difficult with work. Do you guys have any advice for me in regards of working out and eating? What kind of workouts should I focus on? I feel like I still get hungry but icked out by food towards the end of the day. I just really don’t want to have other health related issues from taking it. Any advice is appreciated!! Thank you (:

Also if anyone can guesstimate or personal experience on how long it’ll take to get to goal by staying at 2mg, I’d love to hear!!
