Update on the 13-hour Flat Map Plow - I built a chess board on it...
Some of you saw the 13-hour flat map plow post a few weeks back. Here's what I did with it (so far... I have more ideas)
Built a chess board: 320 x 320, 40 x 40 tiles. Cotton for light squares, plowed dirt for dark squares. Rest of the map I planted Canola (for contrast for now). Plowed my gamertag in, why not.
Vehicle assignments (open to suggestions for better assignments moving forward):
- Pawns: pickup trucks with trailers (more visible)
- Rooks: semi trucks
- Knights: FH16 crane trucks (crane extended for the angled silhouette)
- Bishops: medium tractors pulling trailers
- Queen: New Holland 8-wheeled tractor + cultivator
- King: biggest New Holland tractor + auger grain cart
Went with Hardi red and New Holland blue for the teams because the original black/white plan was unreadable on the dirt.
Played a few games on it!
