I don’t know what our front office is doing man. After watching this team build a village this past season from 3, we decide to put all our chips on the table for smart in FA, when a guy like Kenard (who solves our shooting problems) goes to a condense rival for the same contract value !!!

Kenrich Williams
This is a new addition to FA as OKc declined his team Option. I think he would be a great fit here for like a 2/10M contract as he brings size and shooting. Him plus smart could round out a good Free agency. But we probably need to salary dump DFS to consider such moves….

Free Agency
Similar to last year, it’s seems rockets are heavily invested in getting a Laker Free agent (Marcus Smart) and it’s pretty much 95% likely he’s a rockets by 6PM tomorrow. Thoughts on this? Also if anyone has any cap knowledge, would we have enough to get another free agent above vet minimum?

FVV no trade clause Gone
By opting into his player option, FVV no longer has the right to veto trades involving him. This opens the door to many trade opportunities either this offseason or at the deadline for the rockets, if stone and Ime get over their FVV obsession 😂

What are we going to do with FVV? Deadline for player options is tomorrow and if he accepts it at least he becomes a moveable expiring deal. But the issue with him accepting it is we will have issue retaining Tari and opening up a MLE for real bench production. Best case scenario is we somehow salary dump DFS and gain cap leverage for a respectable FA campaign. Although, knowing stone we probably just run it back with everyone with the one and only addition being Marcus smart because he’s a “Ime guy”. More non-shooting mins yay 🙄 anyways I can stress how important it is for us to not re-sign the same bench guys, but a lot of it hinges on FVV at the moment….

Look, the value for him has never been lower. It’s reached a point where you can get him with simple salary matching. The problem is we would have a starting 5 with 3 non-shooters as my proposed trade would be FVV+DFS and a second round pick. To make it work we would need incredible shooting from the bench, I mean guys like Garry Trent Jr, Shamet, and if possible Kenard in addition to Tari and Reed. Should we take the low risk, high reward move?
Projected starting 5: JA, Amen, KD, Bari, Alp
Bench: Reed, Tari, Adams, FA shooter, FA shooter, Bruce T.
