Hi! I'm getting vaser lipo done on july 3rd, I'm equal parts nervous and excited! That being said, I took the time off work saying I was going on little vacation and left it at that because to be frank, I don’t think it’s really anybody else’s business, and I’m planning to go back to work the following Monday. I work an office job so it’s easy to stay hidden at my desk most of the day. My coworkers aren’t super nosy, and I’ve never been a person that bruises easily, however I know there’s still a possibility I come out of it really bruised/swollen, and I’m sure people would ask questions if it’s too obvious. Honestly, I’m mostly concerned about people jumping to conclusions about DV since some of the pictures I’ve seen of people bruised look like they’ve been choked.

For people who have been in similar situations, what are some reasons you gave to people around you for visible bruising/swelling?
