What's the one thing about your GLP-1 journey nobody warned you about?
I'm a dietitian, and my focus has always been on holistic health — digestion, and the connection between body and mind. I don't have many clients on GLP-1s yet, but I can see this becoming a much bigger part of health conversations going forward, and when managed well, it seems like these medications can do a lot of good. What's been genuinely fascinating to read about is how far the effects go beyond blood sugar and weight — things like reduced "food noise," effects on inflammation, potential impact on other health markers. We're still early in understanding all of this, and I find myself curious about where it's heading and what people will actually experience as more of this unfolds. So I wanted to ask directly: whether it's side effects, food and eating changes, the mental side, or something about what happens after stopping — what's the one thing about your journey that surprised you most, or that nobody really warned you about?
