Ac dilemma

Ac dilemma

Greetings everyone I hope y’all are getting ready for a great Fourth of July anyway I have a 92 GMC but I’m gonna have to let it go. I’ve done everything to the truck except for the AC and I live in Texas so in order to even began to get back what I’ve put into this truck it’s gonna need to blow cold. I just wanna ask the group has anyone put in a universal kit in one of these trucks and made it look halfway decent or in your opinion does it completely take away from the truck because I know there are many diehard OBS people thank you for reading this and take care.

Ac dilemma

Greetings fellow truck lovers. I hope you’re gearing up for a wonderful Fourth of July weekend. Well I have a 92 GMC 1500 which I really do like the truck but I want to take on another project so I’m gonna have to let my 92 GMC go all that being said the truck has AC that doesn’t work meaning all the components would need to be replaced except for the switches and hoses inside the cab, but everything under the hood would need to be replaced so we’re looking at about $1000 in parts and I do live in Texas so AC is gonna bring a lot more to the table in the back of my mind. I have considered possibly retrofitting a universal AC kit that can go for around 600 from eBay or Amazon I’m just wondering if anybody out there has tried this on an OBS if so, could you give me a little information for the followers of these trucks? I know they are die hard and anything that is not stock is out of the question but I thought I would give this place a try thank you so much.
