
Radio help!! (97 k1500 Cheyenne)
Trying to hardwire this radio and it won’t turn on. I’ve replaced fuses and triple checked the wiring. The factory radio worked pretty decent other than cutting out once in awhile. I’m at a loss

A 94 3500 4 door long bed true 1 ton with a big block 454 and 4l80e
Sold the black and blue c1500 and bought this someone put a stupid FItech tuning system in it and carburetor instead if leaving the fuel injection alone will be fixing that eliminating the tuning system and fuel pump switches and going back to turn key ignition but good look finding one in this condition for 3300 ever again
So I got a 96 c1500 and im doing some work on it and I need to back off the brakes. As far as I knew drum brake only had a star wheel to do that but found out some are eccentric cams or something like that. I can't seem to figure out how to back them off the take the drum off. There's no star wheel and I can't figure out any other way to back them off. Any ideas?
My 96 Tahoe has been throwing occasional check engine lights, first code read as a cylinder 6 misfire, so I swapped all the spark plugs, cleared the code, and it disappeared for a couple weeks.
It popped on for a couple days a week ago but I didnt get a chance to scan before it went off again, but it came back today but scanned as a cylinder 5 misfire.
any idea what could cause this?
Just recently started getting into doing my own work on my cars so I don’t know much about what can cause what so does anyone know what could be causing the flex plate to wobble and the starter to grind sometimes when starting? A few years ago I had some work done to replace a cracked flywheel and I’m wondering if it may have cracked again or warped but it only wobbles when it’s running, when it’s not it’s solid and you can’t feel any slop or anything. Also sometimes it makes a rattling noise in that area but only when it’s in gear. Also weird question but is my flex plate on backwards? Truck is a 1993 C1500 with a 4.3
Anyone else have a 4.3 on your OBS/NBS? Mine uses up oil like crazy. And every time it rains I have issues getting her to start up if she’s been sitting for a day.
The idle is rough too but after she gets rolling it goes away. I’m no technician or mechanic but I do keep up with general maintenance. Oil changes,spark plugs/cables, etc.
Do any of you guys experience the same issues? What are your thoughts on the 4.3
I got a 97 Chevy c1500 with a 5.7L it has a tick-ish sound that comes and goes. I also got a p0153 code that comes and goes with the sound. So I’ve done some research and I think it’s an exhaust leak how do I go about finding and fixing the leak? Also Please let me know if yall think it could be something else. (I’ll update once it’s fixed)
Obviously a mock up as there are no lugs through the wheel, but getting very close to finishing up my 6” rough country. I don’t want to trigger any of you old heads or people who just aren’t too big on squat, but at least the front will look nice to some of ya. (6” RC 3” keys bout halfway, 2” drop shackles in rear) PERSONAL PREFERENCE YALL 🗣️🗣️🗣️
So i got my truck like a year ago and whenever i turn my key to the on position, there is a fast clicking coming from the passenger side dash. My dad told me it could be the actuator but there’s multiple so i have no idea if it is or not and for some reason I can’t find anyone else with the same issue.
Ok, I know they're like a**holes, but I'm looking for opinions or advice. Im looking to lower my 96 regular cab OBS. Contemplating between a static drop (QA1 level 3) and air ride. What do you have, and why is one way better than the other? All input is appreciated!!

I have a 93 k1500 with a 350 tbi and 4l60e im looking to swap in an nv3500. Mechanically im capable of everything but im wondering what i have to account for electronically. Obviously the reverse lights speedometer and park neutral switch, but im curious if itll affect the way the truck runs and if it will throw a check engine light. Can i use the original computer or do i have to get one for a manual truck… if so where can i find one aside from a parts truck. Thanks
Yesterday my speedometer and tachometer stopped working and right after my transmission went into limp mode with codes P0753 P0758 P0785 P0740 P1860, basically all saying loss of electrical connection. It won’t shift in drive but I can shift between second and third. All fuses tested good but I noticed the ground from the firewall to the frame then back up to the passenger rear side of the motor are both broken. I suspect that may be the problem. Any ideas? 1998 C1500 5.7 4L60E
My father’s 89 Sierra 2500 SLX. Original owner, original two tone paint color. I’ve never seen this particular color combo on another truck. Google image searches turn up with things close, but not quite the same. There’s gotta be someone here that has a picture of one like this.
Saw this sick OBS Tahoe Blazer on Instagram and immediately loved the taillights. Also is it just me or are the side view mirrors slightly bigger than the stock ones?
