New boss decided to give a problem guest a second chance to stay at our hotel again, even after their longtime history of staff abuse.

Here is the note I just wrote in the pass down log for the front desk at my hotel. I think it speaks for itself.

“I was here for some of the original [guests’ names] drama. They have been on the DNR list since at least 2022, and for good reason. I personally don't think they deserve this chance given to them, based on everything they have put this hotel and its staff through. There were some truly horrible and depraved things they called the FD agents, including myself, and they literally screamed in our faces. [son’s name] makes the women agents uncomfortable due to his 'flirting," which is just gross, overt sexualization of us, that he says we should take as a compliment, and [mom’s name] is just all around awful to us. For example: I took a call from them back around the beginning of 2024 and when I told them they were not allowed to stay here, they cussed me out until I was in tears and had to hang up on them. It got to the point that we were told that if they made a reservation to cancel it right away, and if they showed up we were to immediately call the police. They have been told on many, many, many occasions to not make reservations here and that they will be trespassed if they show up. In the past, they have been known to try to get around our DNR by using fake names, or acting nice until they are checked in and then flipping the script and proceeding to be awful for the rest of their stay. And all of this isn't even touching on all the money issues they have caused in the past. I know it's not my call, I just thought I would offer my two cents.”

Essentially, they stayed here several times between 2022-2024 and caused so many issues that they were placed in the 'Do Not Rent' list, and were told on many occasions to not come back and that they would be trespassed if they showed up.

Well, they made a new reservation this week and I happened to be out of town and I wasn’t able to catch it. A newer agent checked them in without realizing the situation, so my new boss decided to give them a second chance and if they are good this time they would be taken off the DNR list. They have been in house for 2 days and are already causing some of the same exact issues. This is the note | left when I got back from vacation and read all the notes explaining what has happened with them.

Willy is 1000% jacked. Here’s why.

I have seen a lot fanart of buff Willy being criticized, with people saying that there’s no way he’s physically fit since “all he does is fish and drink beer all day.” Well here’s why they are (probably) wrong.

-I will preface this by saying that we do not have confirmation one way or another of Willy’s physique. You can absolutely imagine Willy as you prefer. These are just my thoughts, supported by real life facts.

You might think that fishing is the lazy man’s sport, especially since we mostly see him in the shop or fishing off the pier or river. But it can actually be pretty intensive, especially ocean fishing. And he literally lives on the ocean.

He runs his shop entirely on his own. This might not seem like a lot; after all, fishing poles don’t typically weigh that much. But if you consider all the other items that he sells and has to restock on the regular, it might not be extremely physically intensive, but he’s not just sitting on his ass all day either.

>!Plus he has his boat, which is basically proof that he does deep sea fishing,!< which if you have experience with, you know is crazy hard work. Even if he doesn’t do this, he fishes off the pier for hours before his shop opens, then gets off work and goes fishing some more.

He’d be reeling in fish that weigh 500 lbs (halibut) or even 1,000 lbs (bluefin tuna), then maneuvering all of them into his shop, and then processing all his catches would take hours of hard manual labor. Anyone doing this kind of work would be shredded in no time.

Even if you disregard that, river fishing can be hard work too. Dorado fish average around 22 lbs. Lingcod averages around 20-30 lbs. Salmon can be anywhere from 3 lbs to well over 40. Speaking from experience, I went dip netting for king salmon in Alaska and the beast nearly pulled me into the ocean. Those bastards can get all the way up to 120 pounds but usually are in the range of 40-80 lbs. (But they are well worth it because they are delicious!!)

We know that whenever he’s not at the shop he’s fishing, except in the winter. And based on the rate that the fish are biting in the valley, he definitely catches a ton each day.

It’s 1000% likely that Willy has a rockin’ bod.

Could we maybe add a “Solved!” flair for post flair options?

I guess this would be more of a discussion directed towards the mods, and I know this is more about the mechanics of the sub than actual crochet, so if this type of post isn’t allowed I’m very sorry. But maybe some good insight could be generated anyway?

I know that this sub isn’t only about solving problems and answering questions, but I just had a thought. In the last week, I have come across several posts that I am eager to help with, I read the whole post, identify the problem, read a few comments and then write my own to help the person who posted. It’s only at this point that I noticed a comment from OP that they figured it out or a comment all the way at the bottom helped them out. This can be somewhat frustrating at times, especially when I spend a lot of time typing a detailed response or doing my own research on OP’s behalf. Does this happen to anyone else? If it’s only me, please disregard the entire post.

This is actually a really wonderful thing, in my opinion. It means that this community is so helpful that problems usually get solved quickly, and I’m all for that! I’m just thinking that if this happens to a lot of us, maybe it could be beneficial to include a “solved!” flair like some other help subs have so that way once the issue is resolved the OP can change the flair and others don’t waste time solving a problem that’s already been fixed.

First fast in a long time. Started feeling nauseous so I broke my fast this morning. Tips appreciated.

I used to fast a lot a couple years ago, and I thought I’d give it another go. I started this fast without a set time frame in mind. I’m a pretty big person (32, 5’4”, nearly 300lbs), so this wasn’t a concern for me, and I used to do regular fasts of a week or sometimes more in the past.

This time I did really well for the first few days, but I noticed I had a lot of muscle cramping on day 2, especially in the rib cage for some reason, so I increased my electrolyte intake and took some vitamins and that seemed to fix it. I got off work a couple hours ago and on the drive home I got so nauseous that I nearly puked in the car so I decided to break my fast. After refeeding with a high protein meal (after broth and a small break in between of course) I am feeling much better, I have way more energy, and my lethargy is gone.

In the past, I had none of the nausea, lethargy, and cramping, though I fasted on a much regular basis. Instead I usually felt extra energized, especially after the first 24 hours, but with this fast I have just felt so blah. My physique has not changed in the time between, so I feel like that is not likely the problem.

Any ideas, tips, tricks, etc. are appreciated.

Also, bit of a side note: this fast took me from 291 to 279! I know it’s mostly water weight but I’m feeling pretty good about it regardless!! I’m gonna stay on a keto diet in between fasts so hopefully the benefits continue and the weight just melts off!
