Been registered 11 years but am constantly unemployed - how do I improve my prospects... and luck

So Ive just revalidated and will be registered for 11 years come the end of year. Yet sadly however, I am always finding myself long-term unemployed and sadly, am not allowed to include some projects ive worked on in different CVs because of various reasons.

Im debating what to include for GP and other non dispensary-based roles and not sure what I can and cannot say.

Ive worked in community as a locum for 5 years, however due to health reasons (and my disdain for the environment / managers telling me to avoid it after covid), I havent worked in community or any dispensary based environments for a while (as well as a lack of locum roles within 2 hours of where I live).

Hospital - only a year experience, last before COVID. I resigned from that role because I was offered a better job elsewhere, however due to office politics (ie 11 pharmacists handing their notice in 2 weeks), my manager tanked my reference, however I ended up shielding for the resignation period due to my living situation at the time (thus paid to sit at home and do nothing). I would love to do ePMA, digital health, meds info roles however a lot require EPIC and Cerna experience...despite some stuff I have done in healthtech.

General Practice - 1 year, albeit split between 2023 and 2024, and last year and this year. Former was my first face to face role since COVID and...my immune system didnt like it as I was constantly ill and unresponsive to antibiotics. 2nd role was great but contract ended due to it being a 6 month relief role, with the surgery saying they will offer me work once I get my IP (the 6 month relief work was in exchange for having a partner as a DPP). Both GP practices are happy for me to use as referees due to me passing probation and doing good work.

Telemedicine - worked for 111 as a band 6 for under a year (got seconded to another role, which ended up becoming permanent) and for a large GLP1 provider. the glp1 role was for 10 months, ended up in an interim clinical leadership role till a newbie was onboarded, and did some interesting projects till I was fired 2 because of how I reported a patient safety incident involving a contraindication which was missed by the prescribers and resulted in harm to a patient (I sadly did nothing to the patient except make a note on their record and filed incident report / messaged safeguarding leads).

Commissioning: did great work in commissioning as I took on a project manager / lead role, however despite passing probation and still having a lead / board member as referees, I was forced to quit due to workplace bullying which resulted in me getting physically and verbally assaulted by my line manager (who ironically had history of doing this against those from non caucasian backgrounds yet somehow hasnt been sacked or arrested).

Government: the 111 job had an opportunity to be seconded to a government health department for a few months but I stayed there for 3 years in a clinical leadership role and did some cool stuff during and after COVID (which I cannot discluse due to government level NDAs which expire december 2029). I will say however Chris Witty is a cool bloke irl and was fortunate to be in meetings with him (in an observer capacity admitted) and may have accidentally spilt coffee on john van tam and/or dame jenny harries. Left this role sadly due to my department losing its budget and everyone was made redundant below 8b equivalent (G6 civil service)

Healthtech: Since 2024, Ive been doing the odd job in healthtech in product, operations and regulatory capacity, however most of these jobs were on an equity basis or the startups folded. Some companies im still involved in are doing some cool stuff, however they can be seen as red flags to some employers due to how intruiging they are (cant say much except one of them was 0.3% away from securing a life-changing grant; the other does some amazing stuff with charities and NGOs, however due to being live in Gaza, South Sudan, Somaliland and other conflict zones...it can lead to rejections). Also dealt with digital health integration, data analytics and other things.

Sadly, Ive been unemployed for almost 4 months (72 applications, 2 human interviews, 7 automated inteviews, no luck so far) , last year I was unemployed for 7 months (210+ applications, 4 interviews, 3 rescinded due to budget reasons), 2023 for 6 months (virtually no work available except commissioning, which itself had a 2 month due dilligence process their side) and a vast majority of 2015-2019 due to my locum agencies and locum venues refusing to give me references for job applications and postgrad qualifications (I ended up using the superintendent of my pre-reg venue from 2014-2020 as my main referee). Its not like I am not trying, its just that geographically within 1.5 hours, theres virtually never work (save for the local hospital which has notoriously bad turnover rate for people who didnt do their pre-reg there, or dodgy GP practices), or they want someone with an IP qualification.

Any suggestions what to do to change my fortunes?

Should I report sexual Abuse which Happened during my prereg 11/12 years ago to the Police?

So I was speaking to my therapist a while ago and was getting into issues Ive had with finding work (tldr, long term unemployed despite being registered since 2015, however couldnt claim ay benefits as I was earning between £94 to £110 a week from adhoc locum shits / being self-employed).

I brought up my turbulent prereg and based on what I said, what I thought was bullyin g and sexual harassmant apparent was classified as sexual abuse and my therapist said I should report it to the police. Thing is, im debating if I should or not as a) it happened a long time ago and b) they have small children.

For the record, my ex-prereg tutor is a B**** and honestly surprised she hasnt been struck off the register for her misconduct, negligence and just being a cow. (apologies if you feel I am being misogynistic but once you find out what she did, you will understand the need for swear words.

Stuff she did to me

  1. Told me within 3 days that she wanted me out within 3 weeks, else she will make my life difficult
  2. planted tramadol in my bag and was blaming me for it
  3. opening my sealed pay slips and leaving it all over the pharmacy for patients and colleagues to see
  4. made me clean toilets, sanitation bins without gloves, aprons, IPC and hoover the pharmacy daily (despite knowing I have severe dust allergies), as well as run personal errands for her
  5. during ramadan when I was fasting, she would deliberately make me walk half an hour in the august heat whilst fasting, and eat infront of me despite she herself claiming to be a muslim.
  6. she would leave discarded needles (unsheathed) in the dispensary and blame me for it...even though I had nothing to do with injections till after I qualified during 2016.
  7. she would have mood swings (potentially pregnancy related) and would literally throw shelves of drugs on the floor, swear at me and ask me to redo all the A-J drugs shelves stacked properly

8.Would disregard any topics we discussed for my 13 and 26 week reports and would lie saying I did no research or didnt do anything...even though I discussed it with her and wrote it in front of her.

  1. she used to immasculate me saying Im a man, I should be doing X,YZ, she would take the piss out of my physique and would regularly and innapropriately touch my ass and grab my stomach. I never gave her implied or explicit consent to do so.

Stuff she did to others

She drove the previous pre-reg to quit by essentially switching medication labels and blaming him for gross mislabelling (the dude is now a senior PCN pharmacist but only after redoing his prereg after quiting due to her).

Unprofessional Behaviour

She would always discriminate against patients and colleagues who were not pakistani and in fact, would act uppity with black, indian and bengali patients to the extent she would fast track scripts for pakistani patients and make others wait up to an hour

She never used to do work in the dispensary and would spend most of her time either staring inthe mirror applying layers of makeup, or all her time on whatsapp or calling her friends, or entertaining her friends (who werent health professionals) in the dispensary and would get peeved if I asked her to help me out. In fact, one of the pen drawers was her personal makeup drawer with 15 different types of makeup! (no wonder I couldnt find a pen which wasnt makeup lol).

She lies a lot on linkedin and IRL. IRL she tells people she got a first from kings, she got a 2:1 from kingston. She also claimed to be the pharmacy manager and super intendent for the pre-reg venue till after covid: she was never the latter and got fired a few months into 2016.

Thing is, in 2014, I immediately reported this to the GPhC but their response was: "this is a work place issue and is none of our concern, so deal with it yourself". Fortunately, I only had to deal with her for the first half of my pre-reg as she left for mat leave but apparently she tried to do the same to the new pre-reg, but it backfired because the staff felt liberated having not worked with her and because the pharmacy manager, who started same time I did my pre-reg, saw how I was being mistreated and reported to her husband, who was the supe and owner of the pharmacy.

Personally I feel like leaving it as she is perennially looking for work (she locums for the local hospital but has nowhere near enough clout to pull what she did at my venue), but curious to know what you guys think. Do I think I was abused: yes. Sexually? who knows

Need support estate planning - any suggestions?

So me and my spouse are both in our late 60s and rather worryingly both have health issues and near death experiences recently.

This has us thinking that we need to update our will as initially we only had each other on the with my in law and my niece acting as an executor but now that my son is in his mid 30s, we want to be able for him to inherit everything when both of us pass, but also for him to act as a LPA if /when we both lose capacity.

Problems we are worried about is that our extended family are a bunch of *******s who will try everything they can to get a hold of our assets and leave our son, who is struggling to find work for most of hi adult life, penniless. Then we and our son are also concerned about the event our son get married and him marrying a gold digger, like how do we ensure such people do not get anything we have worked hard for / our son has worked hard for?

In terms of assets, we have a home worth £320k (down from £380k due to properties our street losing value the last year), about £8k savings and both me and my spouse receive civil service pension (we can give it to our spouse if one passes away but our son will not be able to claim it if both die)

Does anyone have any recommendations for lawyers? preferably a reputable firm as someone tried to rob my nephew out of his inheritence when his mother died (he was a teenager then and his father didnt speak english)
