Questions around disclosing pregnancy/maternity leave

Hi all! I'm almost 16 weeks pregnant and have been thinking about the logistics of when and how I should tell clients. I have a few clients who have complex feelings around pregnancy and plan to tell everyone in person, but it occurred to me some people may prefer time to process privately first.

Also I plan to make some schedule changes. I'm self employed in private practice and have worked 5 days a week, morning to evening, my entire career. Prior to pregnancy, I considered adjusting my schedule to be more consolidated and possibly fewer days a week, and pregnancy has only strengthened that desire. I believe I've figured out what schedule I would like to have when I return to work from maternity leave, but I would love to implement it in the next few months instead of waiting.

The idea of communicating multiple changes to clients in such close succession has me a bit worried. I understand that some people will not be able to make my new hours work, and some will not want to wait while I am on maternity leave. I'm seeking advice on the best way to communicate these changes. Some of my clients have been paying a reduced fee that we initially agreed would be temporary, but I never initiated a conversation about raising the fee when that time elapsed (completely my fault). So that throws in another potentially difficult conversation I need to have at some point 🙃

Would you recommend addressing some of these things at the same time? Such as schedule changes and pregnancy. Should I wait to address the fee side of things until the new year or when I return from maternity leave? Definitely feel like I'm learning a lesson on being overly accommodating and kicking myself a bit for it. Would appreciate any advice or encouragement.

Hyperthyroidism at 10 weeks

Curious if anyone else has experienced this! I had a lab draw at 8 weeks that had low TSH but normal T4, then at 10 weeks even lower TSH and high T4. My OB is referring me to an endocrinologist so hopefully I'll hear from them this next week, but I'm a little worried. I have felt mostly good throughout my pregnancy (now 11 weeks) but in hindsight I can see some hyperthyroid symptoms, like pounding heart and that I haven't gained any weight yet. I saw online that sometimes this happens in the first trimester and then resolves naturally without harming baby? Would love any reassurance 💖

Update: Clear blue early result 9 DPO

Wanted to share the clear blue result I got shortly after the easy@home in my last post. Still quite light so I'm trying to keep my hopes in check, but feeling excited :) these are the first positives I've ever seen - all of my other tests have been pretty unambiguously white. I also took a second easy@home cheapie to double check hahaha

Easy@home 9/10 DPO - is this what I think it is??

Took a test yesterday morning and last night and both seemed stark white. Just took this one around 11 AM after a 3-4 hour hold. I don't think this is an indent because it was visible right after the 5 minute developing time and the test is still wet and the line has color. Going to take a clear blue early result in a second but I had to hide my cup of pee because my husband started to walk in the bathroom immediately after I saw this 😂😂

Temp spike 9/10 DPO

Trying not to read into this temp rise after testing negative yesterday 😬 First real cycle TTC and need all the reminders that these things can be caused by progesterone regardless of pregnancy haha

Took this test around noon today after testing at 6 AM and thinking I saw an extremely faint line, but not trusting my eyes. Thank you in advance haha I am going crazy!!

Edited to add, this was taken immediately after the 2 minute wait for it to develop per the instructions. I took one earlier this week and it was without a doubt 100% blank
