I think my problem was the heat and the birds that were eating my seed. I did soak my seed as suggested by the previous post comments. And I used Milorganite slow release fertilizer as well. Hopefully the next few weeks is good to me.

So I’ve been trying for months, yes months! To get grass seed to grow in my yard here in Tacoma Wa and I’m having a hell of a go at it. Any tips, tricks or suggestions is greatly appreciated. I’ve used J&B grass seed, Fall magic, Ace Hardware seed, starter fertilizer, new topsoil mix, I’ve used grub x for the insects. It’s just not growing. Pete Moss.
