AIO to my bf always lying around while I cook or clean?
Me and my bf (22F and 22M) practically live together. We both have our own places but he’s always at my house.
He tends to this thing where if I’m cooking or cleaning he’ll just lay around. Despite all his good qualities this really irritates me.
This morning we were kinda running around because we have a wedding out of town this weekend. He had just picked me up from my nail appointment (my cars in the shop), and I kept saying how hungry I was. I hadn’t even ate breakfast yet.
Once we get home I’m just tidying up because a friend’s coming to dog and cat sit my pets. I start making breakfast/ lunch since we hadn’t ate and by now it’s 1pm, and my bf is no where to be found. I call him to come help me with something, but it took him like 2 minutes, he was in the other room.
By then it took me 2 minutes to get irritated, once he got in the kitchen I didn’t need help anymore. I got upset with him and told him that I don’t appreciate how he just leaves me hanging whenever I’m making food for the both of us. Even if he’s not helping to me it just seems disrespectful to be lying around while your gf is making you food. My thoughts are at least come sit near me so we can talk and have conversation.
He proceeds to tell me, “well I didn’t ask you to make me food”, and I told him well you’re not eating then, he said okay that’s fine and I stopped making the rest of his plate. I’m thinking you ungrateful bastard. He has a hair cut appointment so he just left. Now I’m sitting here irritated eating alone because I don’t know if I’m just hangry or if this is a genuine issue.
