Ashford or Paradise Inn/National Inn with kids?

Looking for advise from this group. Plan to visit Mount Rainier for 3 days in first week of Sept with a 2.5 and 5 year old. My only concern are the amenities for the little kids. If I was visiting solo this would be a no-brainer but I'm slightly concerned on how to keep the kids entertained in our rooms outside of all the hiking and sightseeing we will be doing. Any advise is highly appreciated.

Planning a trip to Seattle and need park advise with kids

Hello everyone,

I'd like to take my family on a week long trip to Seattle to visit surrounding attractions and especially national parks. I intend to fly in from Philly last week of August and stay till Sept 6. We also intend to get a car rental. My only concern is I'll be coming with a 2.5 and 5 year old. This will be their first trip visiting any type of park.

Based on previous posts best choices for us would be Mount Rainier followed by Olympic then North Cascades. It's going to take a lot of work to keep them interested but I'm looking for everyone's advise and tips to making the trip enjoyable. Is late Aug, early Sept a good time to visit? What would be a good mix of activities or must hit spots? My wife and I are capable hikers but we don't intend to take the kids on long routes.
