I had decided to wait till the prices drop a little bit but that doesn't seem to be happening anytime soon.
Therefore I am thinking about going with this build and pair it with a used gpu i can get around 20-25k.
My overall budget for the build is around 90k.
I already have the monitor and other peripherals.
Also since the mb has 2 m.2 slots, I'll buy another SSD in the future. 500gb is enough for me rn as I already have an external hdd for storage purpose.
The budget is less than 1 lakh

Our little boy Chiku(aka Chotu) left this world on 6th July 2026. I just wanted to share this story with other bird parents out there. I have never been one to share my feelings or thoughts on social media platforms, but the bond I shared with Chotu was special and I would like others to know. This is going to be a bit of a long story so bear with me guys.
I had never been a fan of pets. However, my wife(then girlfriend) always had a soft spot for animals and always had pets since her childhood. She had other birds before Chotu but I never really got close to them other than the occasional scritches.
Fast forward May 31st 2023, she got Chotu from a breeder. He was around 20 Days old at that time and looked like your average pied cockatiel chick with gray pin feathers. I wasn't really a fan of his looks at that time but that was about to change very quickly.
Now like the other birds, I did not have a close bond with him at first. But that started changing when he started growing up. He was the first bird who would actually approach me to sit with me without any prompting or bribes. You could say he kind of chose me as his friend at that time even though My wife was the one taking care of him all this time and I only saw him on weekends when I went to her home.
I started to look forward to seeing him over the weekend. He would walk over to me and sit on my shoulder as soon as he saw me enter the house. My shoulder was his favourite singing spot. He would always wait for me to initiate the singing and would get irritated if I did not sing along with him.
He was a very curious bird who loved to go outside. He would always sing on our weekly outings to the park. He was always a poser as evident from the pics attached. He had a good heart and always shared and cared for other cockatiels in his flock.
I had read online that pet cockatiels can live up to 15 to 20 years and living with Chotu was one of the things I looked forward to after our marriage. I thought we would spend many years living, laughing and exploring together.
He was the first bird that I fell in love with and probably the most beautiful being I ever saw in my whole life. He wasn't perfect by far, he had so many imperfections but those imperfections are what made him so lovable and so unique. He was very easily irritable, used to scream on top of his lungs, would always demand scritches, would occasionally bite you out of nowhere and I loved all those things about him.
He wasn't very physically gifted. We knew from his early days with us that he had weak genetics and was probably not going to be as healthy as your average cockatiel. His weight stayed around 70-75 grams at max. Still we hoped that he would lead a healthy and long life.
Me and my wife got married in March 2026 and I finally got to live with him. Initially it went great, we had fun together. However by the end of May, 3 of our cockatiels got sick. We don't have many avian certified vets here and none in our part of the country. So we took him to a normal vet who had some experience with birds. He diagnosed them with salmonellosis and prescribed some antibiotics along with other medicines.
Chotu also contracted the same disease and was put on the same medication. Initially he got well, he started eating and was active. However his condition worsened again after few days, the vet suggested to give another round of antibiotics but this time around the medicine did not have much effect. He started getting weak and kept losing weight. During his final days, he got all puffed up and stopped moving around much. On 6th July when I came back from work, I found out that he has passed on about an hour before.
My sweet boy was just lying there motionless, his body was all stiff. Maybe he waited for me to come back but just couldn't make it. I still regret that I was not around in his last moments and that is a guilt I will probably have for the rest of my life. I hope noone else has to get through this. The helplessness we felt watching the life drain out of him day after day. He might have survived if there were proper avian vets and clinics to give the extra support and facilities but there is none in our country.
I miss him every moment and I keep thinking if there was something else we could've done to help him. I promised myself that I would not tarnish the sweet memories I had with him by crying but I often find myself breaking that promise.
Our time together was cut short. I wish we had a long and fulfilling life together but I guess it just wasn't meant to be. I request all other bird parents to spend as much time as possible with your fur babies and make many Sweet memories because life is very unpredictable and no one knows how much time you have left.
I hope my boy finds peace and happiness wherever he is right now.
Fly high Chotu, always❤️
Thank you for taking out time to read till the end. May you and your family live a long and healthy life :)
