Girlfriend of divorced dad
I have been dating a divorced dad for a couple years now, and things have been going great. But currently, I am on a trip with him and his family and the vibe between me and his older daughter (11) has changed. She started giving me the cold shoulder out of nowhere in front of his family, telling me I can’t tell her what to do in front of his family and snapping at me in rooms full of people. The way she talked to me tonight was the worst. My boyfriend’s nephew (3) started running around saying caca. Here response was “I know another Spanish curse word, daddy do you know one?” His response was to not engage. Her response was “I’ll spell it for you so you know it- P U T A! It’s means the B word for when she annoys you” and pointed to me. I had to leave. I took my dog on a walk in the neighborhood that we are staying in to cool off. He talked with her, but she faced no consequences from him. I talked with her when I got back, but she seemed to not care whatsoever. I don’t know how much of this I can take. Dealing with a teenager as the girlfriend is something I never thought of going through until now and I’m scared what this will do for our relationship…
