Posting the SAME video in two different languages in the same Youtube channel
Hello, everyone!
I'm bilingual (Spanish and English).
I know the question of whether we should upload different videos in different languages is asked a lot and we are all recommended to make two channels and upload our projects/videos in their respective language's channel to avoid algorithm and subscriber confusion.
For the past 3 years, I've had only one channel and mixed Spanish and English videos... However, each video is their own. Meaning each video is different. For example, I will upload an English video of catching-and-cooking a fish from species X... then, I would upload a Spanish video of catching-and-cooking a fish from species Y. In other words, two different projects in two different languages on the same channel.
Recently, after a long youtube pause and after learning it's best to separate videos into their respective language's channel, I created a Spanish channel and began uploading there with intent to only upload spanish videos there and only continue to upload in english on my older channel. I only have two videos right now on the new channel but I have a few more videos ready to post and I just cannot make up my mind on what to do! So here is my question...
*What if I was to upload THE SAME video/project in Spanish and English at the SAME time in the same channel and just label them on their video name as english or spanish?* Would this be "just as bad" as mixing different youtube videos in both languages?
Right now, I have a couple of videos rendered and ready to upload (I haven't uploaded them yet because I'm trying to make up my mind!). For each project, I have TWO videos; one where on most of my scenes I'm speaking in English and one where most of my scenes I'm speaking in Spanish (yes, this is a ton of work as I'm doing two projects and two timelines for one video and therefore twice as much time spent on one project - I'm aware of that lol); at first I was going crazy because I thought I was wasting time because I could be spending this valuable time making two different videos BUT I started having tons of fun because while both videos would have the same name and were recorded the same day and are technically the same project, they would each have about 50% different footage (respective subtitles in scenes where I speak the opposite language). In other words, they are the same idea but 50% different scenes, footage, etc.
I repeat the question:
*What if I was to upload THE SAME video/project in Spanish and English at the SAME time in the same channel and just label them on their video name as english or spanish?* Would this be "just as bad" as mixing different youtube videos in both languages?
I'd appreciate your insight and advice! Thanks.
Disclaimer: I AM aware I'm working very hard for this; I know my progress maybe be slower because I am spending so much time on this in comparison to someone who is only worried about one channel and one language; that's why I'm looking for thoughts on keeping everything in one channel - to simply the process and keeping the "hard part" on the editing and not also in keeping order in two different channels. :)
