What is your go to cold sore remedy

I have had cold sores since birth thanks mom and dad. Pretty consistently through my life I get about one a year. Lucky me it’s that time of year again. I am pretty self conscious when I get one. And every time I’m still scrolling on how to get rid of it in a day. Never have usally last a week. Here’s what I learned and I’m wondering about others experiences and if they have anything I can try.

I’ve never had any prescription for it. Would be willing to try that tho. However, what I have tried. As a kid my mom always told me just to put carmex on it. Carmex doesn’t do shit but that was my remedy for years.

After that I started doing tea tree oil for a long time. Which works great for drying out the blister but smells terrible and makes the scabbing stage worse and more painful (the ugliest phase imo). However, I do think it did shorten the overall time. I’ve tried abreeva in combo with the tea tree oil as well. Tea tree for drying abreeva for scabbing which worked pretty well. I have tried abreeva some what alone but it didn’t really work well alone.

My last outbreak I bought Mederna patches which I love that it covers it up because the embarrassment of it is my biggest issue. I only used them once and it definitely got the liquid out really quick but then the liquid was sitting in there in that process and I feel like that can’t be good. So I didn’t use them the rest of the time. But if they do work well and are effective I definitely prefer them over anything else. I do have one on right now. My sore just appeared so we will see. I might try and just use them the whole time this time just to see. However, when I get one I just throw everything at it because I want it to go away I don’t want to try different things and live with it longer.

I also found about lysine and tried to take it everyday out break or not but to be honest I forget the majority of the time. I do take it as soon as I get a cold sore in combo with other topical things. I can’t really speak to its effectiveness tho cause I’m inconsistent in taking it and have never just tried it alone.

Anywho anything I should try that I haven’t. What are your guys go to method that provide the fastest healing time.

Edit: forgot to add I don’t really feel a tingle before I get a cold sore usally I notice I have one coming when a bump starts to form and treat it asap. Which for this time I was at work so I couldn’t do anything for four hours after noticing which was stressful.

Just a tinge on Mary

Hi, I am an ex catholic. To preface I don’t believe in the imaginary story book. However, I do believe Jesus was a real person and by proxy so was Mary. I don’t really have a question or anything just more wanted to get my thoughts out. So, from my perspective I think Mary got pregnant consensually or nonconsensually. Then needed a cover so she made up a fantastical story as to how. Or she was just mentally ill and actually believed it. Then I believe Jesus truly did believe he was the son of god from simply being told so his whole life and maybe some mental illness by proxy of that. I don’t know Mary must have been a really good liar or mentally ill and truly believed her story.

However, the whole god impregnated her thing is so gross. Because he would not have had to done that. She was like 13 or 14 I believe so like ok pedo. I mean people would argue the times were different and that was the norm. However, if gods real then he set that system up. Like now a days I think the majority of people christian or not would agree that a grown man impregnating a middle school aged girl is not ok at all. So, that generally happening in the past would be framed as the evils of mankind. However if god is all knowing of everything that been and will be he should know that is wrong. Especially with the fact as you are god who controls everything like she literally couldn’t even say no to you. Further more if god created Adam out of dust. Eve out of a rib. Why would he even need to impregnate a child?

Anywho, all this to say is I hate god real or fake. But my girl Mary I have so much sympathy for her. Even without her being the mother of god. Like I truly do have love and sympathy for her.

I don’t know I realize I don’t really have a clear line of thoughts here. However, I just had this stuff tumbling around in my brain so thought I’d share. If anyone else wants to share something related or unrelated in the comments be my guest.

Edit: The comments on my post have made me realize I definitely have more deconstructing to do. I think I just still have a lot of anger for the church. And am still trying to process fiction I’ve been told my whole life as if it were real. Even though I know it’s not real. Thank you for your comments though they have further opened my eyes.

How do you navigate criticizing religion, without being labeled as discriminatory?

Hi, a little background I was raised Catholic and have deconstructed from that. I am very anti religion in general. I know a lot about Christianity from being raised in it and feel very comfortable speaking on it and debating it. Then as far as the two other abrahamic religions I know a decent amount especially with the overlaps. Outside of that though I don’t really know a ton about other religions. However, I know enough about religion in a general sense that I think the world would be a better place without any of them.

Anywho, today I am mostly speaking on the Abrahamic religions. With religions that have been systematically oppressed and discriminated against like Judaism and Islam. How do you speak negatively on them without being labeled as discriminatory. Because they truly do have some awful ideals and I think it is disgusting. I understand there’s a difference between talking about like the people practicing the religion and the religion itself.

However, it just feels as if I say something negative about Judaism then its being labeled as antisemitism. Or if I criticize Islam I’m racist. The same goes for any religion that’s been systematically discriminated or oppressed. But then at the same time Islam is the same religion that’s being used to opress women and take away there ability to receive education or even speak and be seen in public (in Iran). So, like me as a female you have people of my “minority” currently being oppressed. But at the same time if I say your religion is disgusting and makes the world a worse place I’m being discriminatory.

Where to watch season 3

I was watching season three on YouTube but the channel I was watching has been taken down I think. I really don’t feel like paying for the season pass when there isn’t a season going on. Is there any other links to episodes I can use.

How to include a large family in a wedding

I have to many close family members to be included in my wedding and it’s stressing me out. My mom tbh is a very pushy women about including everyone. I do want them all to be included tho in an ideal world but there are just so many people and that’s not even to mention my fiancés family. I have four brothers personally and 10 nieces and nephews all together including my fiancés. Then my fiancé also has a brother (who is best man already so he’s not really an issue) then two sisters. We are not doing the traditional my siblings as his groomsmen and his siblings my bridesmaids. Just for the sheer fact of we have friends we want in those spots.

So, what we have figured out his brother is best man. Then 4 nephews will be ring bears and three nieces will be flower girls. Also one of my nieces was just born and will be a year and a half by the wedding so I’m unsure if she will be included in the flower girls or not yet. Then one of my brothers will more than likely be officiating.

Moving on who we have left over is two nieces who are much too old to be flower girls. 3 brothers and two sisters.

So, here is where I’m at at. The two older nieces could be brides maids or my remaining three brothers could be bridesmaids with the fourth doing a dual bridesmaid officiator role. However I can not fit both groups as bridesmaids if I want to have any of my friends (I have 4 bridesmaids I am dead set on). Another thought is my brothers could walk my grandma and mom down.

As far as his sisters I have no idea how to fit them in. However, I think if I’m finding ways to include all my siblings it would be unfair not to find a way to include his as well.

So, does anyone have any ideas how I can include everyone?
