ETIHAD vs AIR INDIA - EUROPE TRIP

HEY GUYS !

Trip planned from Kolkata (CCU) to Paris (CDG) and return from Zurich to CCU.

I am getting refundable tickets on both the airline sites of Etihad & Air India.

The Air India flight doesn’t fly through middle east & has only 1 layover at delhi from CCU and thereafter to Paris directly. However I have heard of poor service and unreliable flights when it comes to them.

Incase of Etihad everything would be cool unless there was this ongoing war situation. (Layover at Abu Dhabi)

Which airline should be the best option for me? (air india is way cheaper than etihad-refundable)

MOST RELIABLE FOREX CARD-zero forex

Hey all,

I have been struggling to gather information about the most reliable and trustworthy Forex Cards with zero forex.

I have come across this one card called Bookmyforex but the reviews are mixed to say the least.

I have no knowledge about these cards, I only possess one credit card that is Axis Select.

Will be travelling to Europe (Paris-Switzerland) with my mother & I really need help figuring out which card to carry with me as most transactions will be heavily dependent on this particular card.
Also it has to be multicurrency as I would need Euro in the first half & Swiss Francs in the second half of the trip.
PLEASE SUGGEST GUY!! Need help

COVER LETTER REVIEW PLEASE?

Hey guys!

I had previously posted my cover letters/sponsorship letters on reddit. However I got a lot of scrutiny and suggestions that my cover letters were too lengthy and seemed AI generated.

I have made necessary changes and made it concise and to the point.

DOUBT: Should I mention that we had stayed in Singapore and Australia for 6 months and 3.5 years respectively even if it's 20 years ago? (we had lived there for the said time period due to my father's work)

Background: I am planning to travel with my mother to Paris(France)-Switzerland during October-2026. I am going to sponsor my mother, however she maintains her own personal savings.

Kindly review it and feel free to provide any suggestions to strengthen my visa approval.

THANKS ALL.

REVIEW MY COVER LETTERS/ SPONSORSHIP LETTERS PLS.

Hey guys,

I am looking forward to travelling to Paris- Switzerland during the month of OCT 2026 with my mother who is 53 years old and is a home maker. I am going to sponsor her. I am 29 years old and I work in the Govt of India and hold a permanent position. I have prepared the cover letters for both me and my mother and also a sponsorship letter.
Help me figure out if this is okay?

PS- my address in the passport is not the same as my permanent/current address anymore. Obviously because we have relocated etc. is this an issue?

THANKS

First Europe Trip (Paris + Switzerland) – Could someone please review my itinerary for realism and Schengen visa purposes?

Hi everyone!
I’m planning my first trip to Europe in October 2026 with my mother. We haven’t been to France or Switzerland before, so this itinerary is based entirely on my own research using travel blogs, maps, Citymapper, and Reddit recommendations.
I’ll also be using this itinerary as part of my supporting documents for my Schengen visa/NOC application. Before I finalize everything, I wanted to ask experienced travellers:
Does this itinerary look realistic?
Is the pacing comfortable, especially since I’ll be travelling with my mother?
Does anything seem impractical or overly ambitious?
If you were a visa officer, would anything in this itinerary appear unrealistic or raise questions?
If you’d change anything, what would you recommend?
Here’s the plan:
Day 1 – Arrival in Paris
Arrive in Paris in the morning and check in after airport formalities. Spend a relaxed first day visiting the Eiffel Tower and Trocadéro Gardens, followed by a leisurely walk along the Seine River. End the evening with coffee and pastries at a nearby Parisian café while soaking in the city’s atmosphere.
Day 2 – Classic Paris
Visit the Louvre Museum, Tuileries Garden, Place de la Concorde, Champs-Élysées and Arc de Triomphe. Take breaks at cafés along the boulevard and enjoy the evening exploring the area before returning to the hotel.
Day 3 – Montmartre & Abbesses
Explore Montmartre and the Abbesses neighbourhood. Visit Sacré-Cœur Basilica, Rue de l’Abreuvoir, La Maison Rose and Place du Tertre. Spend time at cafés and enjoy the artistic atmosphere.
Day 4 – Left Bank & Historic Paris
Explore Saint-Germain-des-Prés, the Latin Quarter and Le Marais. Visit Shakespeare and Company Bookstore, stroll through Luxembourg Gardens and spend a relaxed afternoon enjoying cafés and local streets.
Day 5 – Versailles
Take a day trip to the Palace of Versailles. Explore the palace, Hall of Mirrors and gardens before returning to Paris in the evening.
Day 6 – Paris to Interlaken
Travel from Paris to the Interlaken region by train via Basel. Check into the hotel and spend the evening exploring the town and enjoying the lakeside scenery.
Day 7 – Lauterbrunnen & Wengen
Visit Lauterbrunnen and continue by train to Wengen. Explore the valley, waterfalls and mountain village before returning to the hotel.
Day 8 – Grindelwald
Spend the day in Grindelwald with an optional visit to First/First Cliff Walk depending on weather. Enjoy the alpine scenery and local cafés.
Day 9 – Mürren
Visit the car-free village of Mürren by cable car and mountain railway. Spend the day exploring the village and enjoying the mountain views.
Day 10 – Lake Brienz / Lake Thun
Keep the day flexible by exploring either Lake Brienz or Lake Thun with lakeside walks, optional boat rides and a relaxed pace.
Day 11 – Departure
Travel to Zurich Airport and fly back to India.

Really would appreciate the help :)
